Oh the pages go so quick!!
Thank you for the nice welcome - I read your posts everday and enjoy them
I would love to scrapbook as I think they are amazing and such a lovely way of keeping memories of good times
I have a pile of crafty things to do which gets bigger all the time - cards, knitting, etc unfortunately I work every day morning & evenings and tend to collapse in a heap when I get home and just manage to tidy etc!! You all make me feel so lazy.
ps can't do smiley things - will have to practice0 -
pinkladymel wrote: »Rusty Would you believe it but every year my husband thinks it is my birthday on June 6th. My actual birthday is June 7th.. how freaky is that :rotfl: I was dancing because you used to live in nuneaton and all of my dads family live there in Hinkley but having the same daughters and age is just too freaky. Still not forgiving you over the age thing though..
Look what you have got everyone doing..!!!
Guessing I am 28 and all sorts. I can't even go on ten years younger because Nicky Hambleton-Jones has gone and I can't put up with Myleen Klass much.
The tip with flowers is to layer. If you are making cardstock flowers then remember to curl the petals a little and really add life. You can use anything for the centre.. I like sticky gems from Poundland, buttons and brads. You could try the sewing up the edge of ribbon technique I explained the other day or cutting circles if you want to get creating some flowers now:
I am glad you are all loving your XCut gullotines and no fingers have been lost yet
Sylphy I always think you're my age.. so sorry.. but if i'm going down over age here (or rather going up!!) then I am dragging you with meI love your poem.. very err appropriate to the thread right now! Can't wait to see this folder x <--- You gets a kiss :j
Orchid Thanks for your kinds words, as ever xx Glad you got your friends birthday sorted in the end.. was this the friend you had something to tell? Nosey... me???
Shelley I used to worry about my age but then I realised how fast time had gone since I was just 19 when I met my partner and it gutted me. Back then I thought I was so ugly and horrible but I would give anything to look like that right now. i have learnt from this mistake and now I am just trying to enjoy these days of being 25whilst they are still here. Thanks for being so kind x
Mhagster I hear music and it just takes me right back. There are always those special moments connected with a song.. or special people and sometimes it is gutting to not be able to go back to things the way they were. Wasn't life so much simpler.. If I only knew then what I do now!!
mum2one I don't know if you noticed but I am actually, quite obviously 25 did you hear that? NOT 28!Just kidding:rotfl: My husband is 28 so you wa obviously gauging it from him.. I will have to get rid of him now and get a younger model. I loved your laundrette storyYou will have to tell us more.. you sound like you have had an interesting life
Jammy I can't keep up with you and all of your blog updates!! Thank you for commenting on my err 'Gothika' look. Very lovely and kind of you *hugs* I want to see what you look like!!
Had to just let you know that Nicky Hambleton-Jones was at our clinic last Thursday for our Open Evening. She was lovely. But very very small!
She didn't work her magic though. I still look 42Married 19th May 2011 to the love of my lifeCross Stitch Cafe Member Number 44CSC Challenge - to complete LEGS by end of December

He will be in there now, his interview was 10:30 and I am trying to keep my mind busy and waiting for the phone to ring!
The journal sounds lovely shelley, could you take some pictures for us please?
Cbsexec - this thread does move quite fast but you soon get use to it
Well I have been trying to keep a busy mind ... I started a canvas fo DD's bedroom ... only thing is it looks awfulthink I need to practice and then give it another go ... heres a pic for you to have a laugh :rotfl: I haven't painted since I was in junior school, and it certainly shows! I also managed to put a big blob of orange on there
DD was colouring in her highchair and she was being a madam so I turned around and dabbed it

Rusty that looks great - if you've done it from that toy then that is quite amazing. My dd seen it and said I want one of them. There's validation for you.
Having some lovely lazy mornings lately as I am so organised house wise - don't know what's wrong with me??!!0 -
Rusty I hope you hear soon about OH its a nightmare waiting. Your canvas is fab but it is really difficult to paint. Did you buy the canvas with the paint included because I did one similar and I found the paint awful and just couldn't get it to look right. Yours is much better than my pathetic effort :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:Your son is going to love it x:T
Well here is a picture of the journal I bought for Mil for Mothers Day:
It is a book which has a question on each page e.g where did you and Dad meet? What music did you enjoy? etc etc and room for photos . My MIL will love this as she loves writing. The idea is that it will be passed through the generations. They also do them for Grandparents.
I thought it would be easy to make something similar in a scrapbooking way - not that I will be attempting it though !!!
Orchid-96 I hope you and your babies feel better soon - what a nightmare I bet you are stressed right out. You'll be so tired by the end of the day that you'll be able to sleep on a chickens lip tooLittle Miss Chatterbox

Thankyou scattymam, I cheated and had a basic white picture which I had the outline from but I got the colouring from the tigger toy :rotfl: I just hope OH doesn't hate it :rotfl:
Shelley it is for my daughter not my son :rotfl: he likes pooh but they are much too girls! I bought the canvas in a pack of 4 from wilkos for about £3 ish and then used their acryic paints which were £1.75 for 12 tubes it wasn't hard to do but I think I am just rubbish at it :rotfl:
