Meant to say welcome back sugarspun and hope I get to see a pic or 2!!0

I've just sat down after I got out of bed this morning - well was sat at work all day but that doesn't count.
Am feeling very  this evening as Council Tax bills didn't go out on Friday so could have worked from home today as didn't need to help with influx of calls. Wouldn't mind but I have to drive for 3/4 of an hour there - work then got home at 4.15 picked DD up from out of school club, fed birds, put washing in so I have uniform for tomorrow as they will only give me 2 shirts as I normally only need 2 a week, supervised homework, changed cat box and emptied bins and did recycling for collection tomorrow, then took DD for swimming lesson, stopped at chip shop then put her in the shower - phew!
OH has interview in Newcastle tomorrow so have read his notes and made (very limited) suggestions about customer service - surprised to see all my ones from yesterday amongst them so can't be as thick as he makes me feel sometimes :rotfl:. He's very edgy and uptight so hopefully he'll hide in the bath so I can watch the football and Mistresses in peace.
I lose an hour and a half by going to work so my house is a tip and didn't have the energy to iron at the weekend so that's sitting looking at me - unless ironing fairies arrive in the night it'll still be there and hopefully the weight of the pile will press some of it so I don't have so much to do.
Fingers crossed for OH rusty - when will he hear anything?
I really need to make a card for DD's grandad but don't really do men's cards - maybe I'll get some inspiration at some pointOfficially a non-smoker but still rounder than recommended

Hi everyone, can't believe how much I've had to catch up on since yesterday  Love reading the thread though so keep the chat going won't you
My day started badly as it was school photo day today and I stupidly took DS2 into school to get a pic of the boys together. BIG MISTAKE - DS2 was a flaming nightmare and threw tantrum after tantrum so it was a no goer really. Got a reasonable pic of DS1 though
Sorry to hear of more poorly little-ones and big-ones. Hope they all get better super fast.
Rusty - love your Tigger picture and you painted it to, you clever thing :T Are pink/pale yellow flowers ok for you? That's what I used on my mum book.
Rufusdog - your paintings are fabulous, I love them (esp, the Jude Law one)
For anyone wanting to know a bit more about the Quickutz Squeeze, you can use Quickutz dies in it but as far as I know, not Quickutz Revolution dies. Loads of people sell the dies on ebay but look carefully cos prices vary massively and the actual dies are supposed to last a lifetime so buying 2nd hand shouldn't be a problem.
Jury's still out on whether I can come to the NEC, OH says he'll sort it out tomorrow, one way or the other. I am not going to hold my breath... but would love to comeIf I can't make it I will have a ticket going begging.

Here are some (rubbish quality
) pics of DS1's Star Wars party bags...
Bag contains: pencil (£1 for 18 Poundland); Star Wars sticker (ebay); punch ball balloon (ebay); little stretchy alien man (ebay); Dagobah Swamp Shake aka choc milkshake powder with some mini marshmallows and a straw; 2 finger kit kat with personalised message saying "thank you for coming to my party". Just need to add some birthday cake on the day.
The milkshake...
The kitkat:
I promise my kitkats look better in the flesh than in the photo:wave: If you want the rainbow, you've got to put up with the rain :wave:0 -
Sorry, so much to catch up on, meant to say big good luck wishes to your OH Rusty, thinking of you and have everything crossed
Your DD looks fab in her Night Garden jammies with your gorgeous bag:wave: If you want the rainbow, you've got to put up with the rain :wave:0 -
Sugarspun - did you have a nice honeymoon? nice to see you back again
Furrypig tell your OH to wave to me
Padingtondoo good luck for OH's interviewanother one that needs to wave
Rainmac - pink and yellow are fine, thankyou ever so much you are lovely lovely lovely
Also how fantastic do Jacks partybags look!!! I bet he is over the moon with them! Well done they look great
Oh arrived back here at 2:33pm in a foul mood, he said he is pretty much sure he won't have got the job as the interview was completely different and things they normally mention in interviews i.e money, hours etc weren't even mentioned. I am trying to avoid him tonight as I can't be bothered with his mood swings of late :rotfl: does that make me bad??
Thankyou for the comments about my pics, I have almost finished a winnie the pooh one aswell ... I managed to blob the bloomin paint againthis time blue ... OH says it is my copyright/trademark :rotfl:
Raising kids is like being held hostage by midget terrorists0 -
Rusty, doesn't make you a bad person at all, I think a bit of space is good now and again. Just don't let him stay moody
He's probably just worried about work and money and that's what's causing the moods. Men are weird beings and don't talk about their feelings whereas us women do nothing but talk  I wonder if any blokes have ever read this thread - would probably scare them to death, all the talking
:rotfl:
Maybe you could put your initials in the paint blobs? Make them a Rusty original:wave: If you want the rainbow, you've got to put up with the rain :wave:0 -
Hi ladies :hello:
I've tried to catch up on all the posts but you all chat so much!! :rotfl:
I had a blue day yesterday (meaning I was quite sad and weepy) but today is a PINK day :j I'm all happy today. It's my birthday tomorrow and I am soooooooooo excited :j My mum rang earlier to speak to my OH so I wonder what they're plotting
We're going ice skating tomorrow, so excited, I love ice skating but my OH has never been before and isn't keen (he thinks he's going to fall over and somebody will slice his fingers off  :rotfl:) But he's agreed to go because it's my birthday and everybody knows you get your own way on your birthdayPlus he's feeling guilty because he didn't buy me anything last year, not even a card
Then in the evening we're going for a nice posh meal :j Followed by cocktails...yummy!
I've been to get my hair cut and coloured today...went to the local college and it wasn't great, the service anyway but my hair is okay, can't tell that much difference apart from the odd light brown highlight. But it only cost £20 so i'm happy. I would go back, can't complain at that price, would have cost me about £75 in a normal salon.
I received a cutting mat thingy and an easyfold thingy off ebay today...need to buy some card then I can attempt to make an exploding box.
Anyway I hope everybody is okay and having a peaceful week((big hugs)) to anybody that wants one (I give very good hugs
) xx
 Think happy & you'll be happy
I :heart2: my doggies

rainmac - what a fantastic mother you are - those bags are great - you have put so much effort in to making them - they are unique.
I'm taking your advice that you gave us a long while back and I'm going to get peter pan party cups, fill and then wrap in cellophane. I can use my cellophane for easter as well.0
