Thankyou Jammy, I think I need to drive upto Cram and see if the craftshop up there has some flowers and some brads, or even just brads as I could probably make my own flowers from card or something which would go more ...
Really struggling for inspiration at the min but need to get it done.
Love your new scrapbook page! looks lovely and I like them lettersRaising kids is like being held hostage by midget terrorists0 -
Shelley, I managed to miss your nappy cake, not sure how :rotfl: sorry, it looks beautiful as always
Have you done something different this time? it looks different and the only thing I can see is you haven't used green ribbon on it?

Rusty Would you believe it but every year my husband thinks it is my birthday on June 6th. My actual birthday is June 7th.. how freaky is that :rotfl: I was dancing because you used to live in nuneaton and all of my dads family live there in Hinkley but having the same daughters and age is just too freaky. Still not forgiving you over the age thing though..
Look what you have got everyone doing..!!!
Guessing I am 28 and all sorts. I can't even go on ten years younger because Nicky Hambleton-Jones has gone and I can't put up with Myleen Klass much.
The tip with flowers is to layer. If you are making cardstock flowers then remember to curl the petals a little and really add life. You can use anything for the centre.. I like sticky gems from Poundland, buttons and brads. You could try the sewing up the edge of ribbon technique I explained the other day or cutting circles if you want to get creating some flowers now:
I am glad you are all loving your XCut gullotines and no fingers have been lost yet
Sylphy I always think you're my age.. so sorry.. but if i'm going down over age here (or rather going up!!) then I am dragging you with meI love your poem.. very err appropriate to the thread right now! Can't wait to see this folder x <--- You gets a kiss :j
Orchid Thanks for your kinds words, as ever xx Glad you got your friends birthday sorted in the end.. was this the friend you had something to tell? Nosey... me???
Shelley I used to worry about my age but then I realised how fast time had gone since I was just 19 when I met my partner and it gutted me. Back then I thought I was so ugly and horrible but I would give anything to look like that right now. i have learnt from this mistake and now I am just trying to enjoy these days of being 25whilst they are still here. Thanks for being so kind x
Mhagster I hear music and it just takes me right back. There are always those special moments connected with a song.. or special people and sometimes it is gutting to not be able to go back to things the way they were. Wasn't life so much simpler.. If I only knew then what I do now!!
mum2one I don't know if you noticed but I am actually, quite obviously 25 did you hear that? NOT 28!Just kidding:rotfl: My husband is 28 so you wa obviously gauging it from him.. I will have to get rid of him now and get a younger model. I loved your laundrette storyYou will have to tell us more.. you sound like you have had an interesting life
Jammy I can't keep up with you and all of your blog updates!! Thank you for commenting on my err 'Gothika' look. Very lovely and kind of you *hugs* I want to see what you look like!!:xmastree:Self Certified Christmas Addict:xmastree:0 -

Found a poem yesterday thats going in my folder, its how I'd LIKE to look at birthdays:
Her Souvenirs
Author: Steven Mossburg
She had another birthday
And she sat before the mirror
She contemplated her gray hair
Her wrinkles and her years
But she didn't need to fret
And she really shouldn't fear
Cause her gray hairs are memories
Her wrinkles are souvenirs
Each strand of silver shows a worry
That never came to pass
Each deep line upon her face
Is there because she laughed
There have been times of trouble
And there have been days of stress
But life has really been quite good
For she's been truly blest
And so it's Happy Birthday
She is so very dear
For her gray hairs are memories
And her wrinkles are souvenirs.
I thought it was lovely when I found it.
Thanks for the recipe Mum2one, wonder if I could substitute coconut with powdered almond or something, not keen on coconuts. Shall cut & paste the recipe & grab the ingredients tomorrow.
I love the Poem, Hope you don't mind if I pinch it too, Will be using that for my mum's B.day, she will love it... Just got to think of a way to do it nicely and display it...
