Do you know what the speed of your BB should be?0

sorry, is this via the router or the modem ??? if this is similar for both, then as asininity says, it looks like AOL's problem, especially if you can get 355kb uploads...........Gettin' There, Wherever There is......
I have a dodgy "i" key, so ignore spelling errors due to "i" issues, ...I blame Apple0 -
Ring AOL and ask they will tell you the download speed and upload speed, they will probably say you can get "up to" such and such a speed. Also ask them if they run a fair usage policy (read bandwidth throttling) at peak times.0

i will ring aol tomorrow even though i hate doing it and i end up losing my temper hahahaha
would it be worth getting mac code when i phone them and trying elsewhere, but always a bit nervous as they say the grass isnt always greener0 -
Before you ring them do the speed test with your computer connected directly to the internet. Mind what I said about a decent firewall.
If the speed test shows a massive difference ie a lot faster, its one of two things, the router, or someone connected to it heavily downloading (make sure its not one of the boys) in either case reset the router and try again. If its still slow its probably the router.
If there is no difference its AOLs problem, they need to deal with it.
If you have been with AOL for a while and haven't negotiated a new deal you should ring them anyway tell them you're thinking of leaving and they should offer you a better deal.0 -
