Oh, that's so sweet ainnoangel!
I gave my OH 2 Blu-Ray films after 'letting' him buy a Blu-Ray player, I also got a bottle of lovely champagne from Wine Rack using a 40% off voucher.
He got me an engagement ring! He hadn't bought me anything and I think he thought it would get him out of a sticky situation! LOL! It was a lovely surprise when he took me into the jewellers to choose one!Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!Goal Weight 140lb Starting Weight: 160lb Current Weight 145lb0 -

We agreed this year not to waste money on Valentine's. We bought a reduced PS2 in Curry's sale instead.
DH was working til 8pm on Valentine's anyway.
Given: Hand-made card.
Received: Wii game that I've been coveting for over a year."All cruelty springs from weakness" - Lucius Annaeus SenecaPersonal pronouns are they/them/their, please.
I'm intolerant of wheat, citrus, grapes, grape products and dried vine fruits, tomato, and beetroot, and I am also somewhat caffeine sensitive.0 -
It's our DS2's birthday on Valentines day, so we do nothing (bah humbug!) - we came to that decision years ago so DS1 doesn't feel left out when everyone else is getting prezzies except him.
(OH is great the rest of the year though:A and buys me flowers when I least expect it, etc, so we don't need to do romantic stuff on that one day)0 -
Nearly that time again, and I found this thread searching to see if people have been able to use the Tesco Clubcard restaurant vouchers on Valentine's Day. Anyone? We usually go out on a Sunday that's near a holiday as that's a convenient day for us, and this year V Day is on a Sunday! Wasn't sure if we should still go out then or another day as I'm way too frugal to let hubby pay full price when I have perfectly good vouchers to use, lol.
From one of the posts above, it sounds like the couple could've used vouchers on V Day if not for having ordered from the set menu, but thought I'd check to see others' experiences.0 -
Valentines day is also our wedding anniversary (and anniversary of our engagement lol!)
We do the cards (we get 2 each).
I never ask for anything and don`t expect anything but always get flowers.
Last year my DH took me for a meal `kiddie free` which was fab!
This year we won`t be doing anything as there is no spare pennies.
I am planning on doing something next year thouh...not sure what just yet!xDebtFree FEB 2010!Slight blip in 2013 - Debtfree Aug 2014 :j

Since when did it become normal to give people Valentine's presents other than possibly flowers? Just another way to get people to spend money!0
