I got a card, two games for my Wii and the most gorgeous bouquet of roses (I chose them!!!)

It's my OH's birthday the day before Valentine's so we (me, OH and 2 kiddies) went out for a meal to Pizza Express (coutesy of Tesco vouchers
). I took a cake to the restaurant and they lit candles and helped us sing happy birthday. We had a great time
OH worked Valentine's Day and gave me nothing but a cheesy card but I love him and wasn't expecting anything so was fine with that (I've eaten most of the chocolates I gave him anyway as he knew I would).
My son gave a girl in his class a homemade Valentine's card on Friday and she gave him a homemade one back. They are only 4 and it's very sweet:wave: If you want the rainbow, you've got to put up with the rain :wave:0 -

I'm not bothered about getting nothing as I don't give to recieve, however I am gutted at him being to throughless and starting an argument ... swine! ... there is still an atmosphere now ... I think I will dissapear out tomorrow and stay out of the way!

My OH doesn't really do Valentine's and sometimes I feel he buys cos he thinks he should rather than shop for something he knows I'd love so I said no pressies for me. He buys occasional bunches of flowers throughout the year and they mean a lot as I know he's thought of me. If you want the rainbow, you've got to put up with the rain :wave:0 -
I gave him two ties (bought in charity shop for £1 each) and he took me out for fish n chips (my request) although I did cook him a Roast Chicken dinner last night.
He bought me: 10 red roses (a bloomin' first). a book containing 5 Lambeth Visitor Parking Permits (in other words its about time you came to London to stay for a while) and last night he gave me a bar of chocolate turron that he picked up in a local shop:D0 -

There was a massive budget difference between our gifts this year!
Me to OH:
Card £3
Breakfast in bed - made from scratch American pancakes with bacon and maple syrup - about £2 as we had most of the ingredients)
Mini chilli chocolate muffins - homemade - about £2 again for the chocolate
Pub lunch in Cardiff (we'd travelled down to watch the rWales v England rugby in a pub) - £10
Total £17
OH to me:
Card - that was a surprise as he doesn't normally do cards!
Train tickets to Cardiff - £88
IMPULSE BUY tickets to the match 1/2 an hour before kick off from a dodgy bloke outside the stadium - £260
Total £350!
I was incredibly grateful that he got the tickets - I would have been quite happy staying in the pub as we planned, but he wouldn't let me pay him back for them!Life must be lived forwards, but can only be understood backwards - Kierkegaard0 -
I got a weekend in venice, lots of naughty underwear and a promise that we will re-new our wedding vows, I gave him golf clubs and a very large canvas with an old modelling picture of me printed on it, he loves it!0
