  • I got a pink heart on a links of london sweetie bracelet
  • I got a box of 20 bent valentines cards from a friend of mine who owns a market stall for £1. I filled them in and gave them to my girlfriend with the instruction to open one every valentines day. Bingo! 2 decades of valentines sorted out for a quid!
  • ive been sat here watching this thread, thinking "dare i post". So heres my valentine story, i got my hubby a personalized not to fancy card and a kaiser chiefs CD with a giant toblerone bar.

He gave me a plain blank card with a credited statement for rent, to state he'd paid the rent till September 2010 with a receipt,(the receipt did have a Lil heart drawn on it)
    Tax Credit Overpayments £1465.00
    TOTAL OUTSTANDING:[STRIKE]£1640.00[/STRIKE] £1465.00
  • I'll join in from a guys prospective :rotfl:

I got her some new pyjamas, a lovely chemise but thats more for me than her! A couple of lucky in love scratch cards (they weren't very lucky) along with a large designer rubber duck because she wanted one for the bathroom. My highlight was a wonderful hand made card, a first for me I must admit! I created a photo collage of us on the front and put a few hearts round it and wrote a poem inside. I think that went down well. Don't usually bother much but felt like it this year.

She got me Active Health with Carol Vorderman for Nintendo DS which comes with a pedometer to help with my new years resolution to get more fit.

To top it off we went to Pizza Hut on Sunday and three course meal with a heart shaped pizza. Topped with lots of pepperoni it looked quite impressive!

I did quite well i got an I-Trim and a leather jacket !
and gave her some cashmere bed socks and a funky dressing gown!

BUT did any of you catch the story in the news of the guy in minesota who gave his missus of 37 years a pile of manure!!!!

The manure was spread over several days, in an outline of a heart, over half a mile. It even had a manure arrow piercing the heart.
And the best part is she liked it!

im gettin my laxatives stockpiled and starting to get ready for next year i think im on to a winner!!

After our issues before Christmas (where we realised we'd both stopped trying for birthdays / christmas / valentines) we decided to make the effort this year.

I got him a bottle of squirty scream and some sprinkles (which has been a running joke between us) plus I made a baked new york cheesecake (which he adored as I DONT cook and when I do it generally goes wrong, so he was well impressed I managed to make one that tasted nice!) Lol

He got me a lovely rose and a bag of mini eggs (addicted to them) AND.....

told me he's booked for us to tour around Australia for 5 weeks over christmas!!! Obviously he's not paying for all of it but hes saved nearly 5k already without me knowing :) Bless him :)

We had agreed not to buy anything this year as we were going away for the wknd - BUT my lovely lovely OH bought me this pair of shoes:

    [URL="javascript:oldImage = 'http://images2.faith.co.uk/images/products/medium/484272.jpg';large_image_file_name='http://images4.faith.co.uk/images/products/large/484272.jpg';swapImage('productImage','http://images2.faith.co.uk/images/products/medium/484272.jpg');swapImage('large_img','http://images4.faith.co.uk/images/products/large/484272.jpg');hideDisplayTable('videoArea');hideDisplayTable('threeSixtyArea');showDisplayTable('zoomArea');enable_zoom=false;setloadingimg(oldImage, large_image_file_name);"]484272.jpg[/URL]

which i wanted so much, but wouldnt buy because of the price! I usually get my faith shoes from ebay but he is so bl00dy fantastic, he got them for me. (probably to shut me up if nothing else!!! lol)

I felt so guilty, when we left for our break (on v day) I went into the shop and bought him a tube of love hearts!
Married the absolute love of my life on Sunday May 6th and I couldnt be happier!!!
