I am looking for a new kitchen and have been to B&Q as well as Homebase to have kitchens priced up.

Someone on a forum recommended DIYKITCHENS.COM I priced up a kitchen in white gloss which worked out to be very cheap, so last week I went to their factory where they produce the kitchens and was totally sold on their quality.

Make your own mind up and go and see the place rather than order a sample door etc. although depends where you are, these are near Doncaster. All the cabinets are made up and delivered complete, plus an excellent range. They don't fit but can recommend fitters.

Which white gloss kitchen did you go with? We are thinking about Ignea with the integrated handles.... what is the quality/service/delivery like??

Hi, unfortunately everything on hold at the moment for a month or two, due to a serious illness in the family, however, we did finalise everything and going for the high gloss Ivory, this was after a visit to the factory and seeing this on a kitchen mixed with the Oak, which made a perfect contrast.
Hope all goes well with your kitchen.
  • I bought a kitchen from Wren and omg what a nightmare ive had, The salesman measured up wrong and im now 1 end panel short to finish my kitchen, so off i went to the store to order another 1, i paid £95 + £75 delivery i was told as salesmans error i would not have to pay for the delivery but it had to be put throught the system, he also told me as we were waiting for the 1 panel he would ask for it to be delivered asap, now nearly a month on they have took £170 form my account and ive still not got my end panel!! Ive rang up 7times, and keep geting passed from the store to the customer service dept. and back agian neither wants to know and is very unhelpful. Also the base units only have the same size shelves in as a wall unit so you cannot make best use of the space ( very bad idea, cutting corners trying to save money ) and if you purchase a corner unit you get a door on 1 side and fresh air on the other! no blank panel to stop you loosing you items between the next unit ( again cutting corners trying to save money ) Overall I am very dissapointed with wren and would not reccomend them to my worst enemy. and god forbid if you damaged a door or broke a hinge you will be charged £75 delivery on to of your item and wait months to recieve it! in other words STAY WELL CLEAR

I bought a kitchen from wren and whilst the sales people in the showroom were nice and the units very very nice and excellent build quality their customer service are total crap, I had delivery issues and they blatantly lied to me, even when I caught them out they were reluctant to admit it. Thing is a bit of honesty goes a long way, they didnt even need to lie!

PROBLEM NOW is they are now trading illegally.

They are currently offering a 50% off sale, but all they've done is inflated the prices and then halved them back to more than what they were a couple of weeks ago. They've not sold any of the items at the higher price for 28 days in any of their stores or on their website, they even admitted that on the phone!

It's a shame as they don't need to have a sale. The units are excellent quality at an excellent price compared to other comparible companies. They've just joined the masses of Shoddy, Doddgy Kitchen Compnies.

Such a shame. I have two friends who where litterally on the verge of buying from them after seeing my kitchen, but have now gone to the dreaded, B&Q as they have lost faith.

    Hi Armando

It's nice to see a representative on here. I was a bit harsh in my general assumption of the customer service team, it was one incident and one member of staff, every other time I had to call they were a pleasure to deal with.

I just didnt like being lied to about deliveries and when caught out after speaking to driver and other staff it took a while for them to admit it, I said you really should get the driver to call the customer when he leaves his last drop so the next customer knows when to expect them. It wouldn't take much and it would save the hastles of waiting in, or in my case being told it would be an AM delivery, taking time of work when there was no chance of it being an AM delivery! Just a quick call from the driver or his mate in the morning would have saved a lot of hastle.

Im really, really happy with the units, the quality is excellent compared to others I saw.

Just this one little mess up.

BUT it's a shame that Wren feels it needs to joint the masses of over inflating prices and then big discounts. Both of my friends had priced up kitchens a few weeks ago, and now the kitchens they wanted are £4-500 more even with the discount and the offer of the free dishwasher, so they feel that its just a con as they're not getting a free dishwasher their paying for it!

I know it's a tough market out there, but you should take pride in not having to pull these marketing tactics like others and just offer "Great Kitchens at Great Prices" no catch!
  • Hello
Does anyone know for certain whether Wren Kitchens use sustainably sourced wood (e.g. FSC certified) in their kitchens? It doesn't say so anywhere on the website, or in the showrooms. The staff in the showroom say that it is, but can't privide me with any written back-up, which I find a bit strange. Using sustainably sourced wood is a very positive attribute, so why not plaster that fact all over the website and in the showrooms?
Hopefully I might get a reply from Armando Sanchez on this.
    Cheers
    Justin
  • I bought a kitchen from Wren last month & have nothing but praise

(I'm not in the trade & discovered their name prevously via this forum.)

Bought the Keats, which is a pale ivory/cream colour - similar appearance to Homebase framed cream classic which I also liked. Includes soft close doors & drawers

Much much nicer than B&Q Ivory Classic

Excellent quality & price. Delivered within 2 weeks in perfect condition as promised & was informed via text & email re delivery.

My local builder who did the installation was pretty impressed too - enough for him to consider ditching his usual supplier, Howdens.

    Would definately recommend.

PS Bought the extra tall wall cabinets. They were pretty hefty to lift up, but are really great with loads of storage & in the pale colour do not make the kitchen look dark or overwhelmed....

I too have finally taken the plunge after 18 months debating wether i should get kitchen done. I checked out what everyone was saying on here and narrowed it down to 3 companys, Howdens,Wickes and Wren. I was very sceptical of Wren as i had never heard of them before but decided to check out kitchens from all three companies. Howdens came out as the most expensive which shocked me then Wickes and then Wren. I visited all the showrooms what i liked about the Wren showrooms was that they had all the other kitchen company units there for you to compare. I decided to go with a white glosskitchen and andorra top. It took about two weeks for delivery and everything delivered fine. I asked my fitter what he thought and he said he was very impressed with how the cabinets made up and they come fully assembled. Am really pleased with my kitchen and just wanted to put this on incase anyone was worrying about using Wren. Hope this helps someone but if you are unsure i would advise you to visit the showroom and decide for yourself.

How long have you been working for Wren for? New user and only one post. Do you really think people are that stupid. For anyone that would use Wren/ Vince Miller etc dont come moaning on here when its messed up and they go down the pan leaving you out of pocket. Spend the little bit more from the beginning on B&Q, magnet, howdens etc
