Interestingly, we heard from OH's ex co-worker today. Apparently one of the directors was musing out loud about why Oh was pursuing this, because he is 'definitely' not getting his job back and if they were going to pay money, it would have been cheaper doing that rather than getting a solicitor. Apparently the directors 'have it all sewn up' and they are 100% sure they will win
I want him to win to teach them that they can't just 'get rid' of people!!! They have done it to 2 others since OH left.
Sounds to me as if the director was sounding off deliberately to send a message to others and intimidate! All the more reason for you to fight and improve conditions at this company! :mad:Ex board guide. Signature now changed (if you know, you know).0 -

Do the directors know whether any of the co-workers are witnesses? If they don't already, they may well start intimidation when they get witness statements.....0 -
Hi guys, not been about for a bit - life getting in the way and all that.
Everythign has gone a bit quiet lately, since the postponement there hasn't been much to do. Our solicitor has got us on legal aid atm but is trying to get us cover through the house insurance (something I never thought would work!) They don't half string that out, I can tell you!!
Good news and bad news to report. Good news is that we have new dates, even though they aren't until January, I'm sure that will swing round pretty fast and at least it gets Christmas out of the way.]
Bad news is that our main witness (the under manager) has been promoted within the company and is now the 'right hand man' of the person who set out to get rid of OH. OH has been trying to contact him for the past fortnight now, but he isn't replying to any calls or texts.
If this had gone ahead last month like it should have, this would have been irelevant of course. Now, I'm not sure what way it's going to go.
We really aren't having much luck with witnesses. Out of 3, one has gone over to the enemy camp (lol) one has emigrated and one has died.
C'est la vie, eh.:rolleyes:Learn from yesterday, live for today, hope for tomorrow. :cheesy:0 -

I would think so. We got a list of their witnesses from the tribunal, so they must have a list of oursLearn from yesterday, live for today, hope for tomorrow. :cheesy:0 -
I know how you feel - keep positive though! As you say, january will come round quicker than you think.
Have just been through all this with my OH (he won!!) and now going through it again with my employers... what fun. but I agree with you totally - they should not be allowed to just 'get away with it'
It sounds as if you have more than enough written evidence to not need to panic about the witnesses, and as op have said most of the time its not about the facts its about a fair procedure and this obviously hasnt been fair at all!;);););)

Do you think it's possible that they've deliberately offered the witness a higher position in the company to prevent him from being a witness?
Was a promotion on the cards for him?Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')
No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)0 -
I wondered about this as well! Good luck for Jan, PM or post if you have any queries before then xEx board guide. Signature now changed (if you know, you know).0

This is a fascinating thread, I shall continue to keep an eye on it.
I am amazed at your tenacity, Amber 07, I would have given up long ago, but keep going! I am sure right is on your side and that you will prevail.
I cannot offer anything other than good wishes, unfortunately. Go You!:T

I have just read all 15 pages of this!
Good luck Amber!0 -
Thanks guys
Not much going on atm, just playing the waiting game
pinkshoes - yep, that is what we suspect. It is a position that was never filled since the last person to do the job resigned a year previously.
I know they have just been taken to tribunal by another ex employee - I wonder if it's possible to find out what the outcome of that was. Are the public allowed to know about outcomes of tribunals, anyone know? I may have to get OH to do a little digging.
Thanks to everyone for the continued support xxxLearn from yesterday, live for today, hope for tomorrow. :cheesy:0
