Good news!!! We have got full legal cover!!!:j

Legal Aid ran out, and after discovering we had a years legal assistance included free with the house insurance I took out last year, our solicitor looked into it, and after WEEKS of waiting, it was confirmed today that they will cover OH. :D

On the down side...the company is now doing the exact same process to the manager who took over OH's job when he was dismissed in Feb. He has just been suspended for the investigation. OH has been on the phone giving him lots of advice. Hopefully we can help him.

  • God news indeed! :rotfl:(straight from the Almighty!)

The manager who is being mucked about now might be quite helpful to you, if he is worried enough IYSWIM. Is he the one who was going to be a witness before, and was then promoted? Although he will be worried about giving evidence for you, it might actually help him as the company would have to be careful about penalising a whistleblower......;) (Do they have a whistleblowing policy? I think they are supposed to, nowadays.....)

Great news about the legal cover. Whilst you have loads of support on here, knowing you can rely on your solicitor too wil lbe a weight off your mind.
  • Glad to hear you have the legal cover that will be a great help. Shame the idiots havent changed and are picking on someone else. Maybe they will learn when you and OH have finished with them!!

Nah, this is a different manager - the one who took over OH's job in Feb when he got the boot. They are accusing him of poor management (he has worked for them for 3 years!) OH is meeting up with him on Sat to go through it, and offer any support or advice he can.

The other one...we still haven't heard from him. But we will go ahead without him, and explain the circumstances at the tribunal.

Well, how things can take a nose dive in just a few hours eh...

OH was laid off this afternoon - his boss said there wasn't enough work coming in. :(

Bit gutted at the moment, this has been such an awful year.
