if your a graphic designer etc.... then a mac is a god send. For every day ease of use though pc wins hands down everytime.
Why? Because it makes you look "cool" and "funky" like your "graphical design" art-work?
Since when has the world of computer software design been about what people want? This is a simple question of evolution. The day is quickly coming when every knee will bow down to a silicon fist, and you will all beg your binary gods for mercy.

Why? because windows is so intuitive and simple to use, and OS X isn't

there wasn't an argument here, til you mentioned the word...

AmigaOS was light-years ahead of anything else during it's hay day, it's a shame that the poor managing of Commodore started putting the nails in the coffin for it. We, regardless of operating system allegiances, would be using very different products today if it had been more of a success. I can't recall having one even just one crash on my A600 or A1200, both of which work perfectly to this very day ;)

AmigaOS is still going, though on the fringes.

Another PC V.s Mac argument really. Maybe the mac users feel they have to say they're better than PC's so much to justify the £1000's of pounds they've just wasted on it :rotfl:

Sure, and Windows users have to justify how crap it is by pointing out how cheap their computer was. Cuts both ways really!
I'm just kidding dont worry, i'm sure if your a graphic designer etc.... then a mac is a god send. For every day ease of use though pc wins hands down everytime.

    Ever actually used a Mac?

Given that the most common problem PC users seem to have is viruses and malware, and the Mac has an almost embarrassingly small number of said nasties, I'd say a Mac was pretty much ideal for day to day use.
Also for the price of the laptop your looking at you could get a very good spec'd alienware laptop. Or build your own and have an AMAZING laptop for that price.

The MacBook Pro is an amazing laptop. Please find an Apple Store and try one.

Probably the because the OS is designed from the ground up for that sort of thing, instead of being designed for emailing Ned from accounts about the last quarterly review.
