With 70 denier opaque tights I find I get too hot around those parts and with working in a bar/resturant and now the kitchens its just too much to bear.
Most of the tights have a gusset so I really cant see the need.
Now if they have just a seam it would be a different matter
Thanks and I understand the  :rotfl:Numpties...I'm surrounded by them...save me...:whistle:0 -
Sorry pipkin, I thought you were pulling our leg!
She sounds a good one though.
How did you find her, out of interest? I think I'd worry about having someone in the house so they would have to be by personal recommendation iyswim?
Not that I can justify having a cleaner, more's the pity.
It was decided after I had an occupational therapy assessment that I would benefit from a cleaner, and there's something called direct payments that help with the cost.
OT are pretty good as they can supply you with a list of cleaners or you can arrange for your own and you work out between you what jobs need doing and how many hours a week it covers.
I'm still at the feeling guilty stage that she cleans whilst I sit there but it really helps to get things done that I was having difficulty with. There is something delicious about writing the first words of a story. You never quite know where they'll take you - Beatrix Potter0 -

Yes, I can imagine it's not an easy thing to do...
Better than letting things get on top of you though and I'm sure she doesn't think twice about it.
If I had one, it would be for pure laziness! :rotfl:0 -

If I could afford it I'd have a cleaner again in a minute (but I'd still keep it to myself)! :rotfl:Numpties...I'm surrounded by them...save me...:whistle:0 -
[ Im wearing t-!!!!!! and jumpers that are up to 15 years old that still look as good as when bought.
it really is a typo, Suki!!...there's an R missing from t-shi ts.;)
Made me laugh tho, the thought of 15 year old ones getting ironed.;)
We don't have a tumble drier any more for the same reason, I think it wears the clothes out, especially underwear elastic.:rolleyes:Member of the first Mortgage Free in 3 challenge, no.19

Depends on the age - when mine where little in babygros it was clean every night and gradually it has changed to clean every other night. My teenager where's clean when he chooses, there are always plenty of clean it is up to him, but he showers every day, twice has been known!!
Bedding washed every week/10 days. Clean underwear and shirts daily. wash dog every fortnight/ 3 weeks otherwise she stinks! she begs for them if we leave it too long! towels are washed every week, own towel each. Hnad towel downstairs changed every 2 days.0 -
I've read this whole thread after being linked from the toilet thread
Interesting to read how much extra work people seem to make for themselves
DS doesn't always wear PJ's, unless it's a particulary cold night then i'll make him wear them, but when he does he'll wear them 3 or 4 times unless he spills something on them. I don't wear PJ's in bed but i will wear them several times when out of the bath before bed.
We all wear underwear under our pj's, clean if we've had a bedtime bath, the day ones if no bath that night.
I wear tights a lot, if it's the thin tan tights i will only wear them once, if they are black thick winter tights i usually wear them a couple of times. I will wear socks twice but no more, i don't get sweaty feetWe wear clothes until they get dirty or start losing their shape (or smell) which is usually no more than 3 times depending on who and the item!
I don't wash the cats unless they've been rolling around in oil, and the dog gets a wash when she smell like erm.. wet dog! That's only if she's been out in the rain a few times or for a swim in the river
We hang towels up after showers but OH's used towels never seem to dry properly so i try to make sure i use my own the next time - we reuse towels 2 or 3 times.
Before getting my new bed and bedding sets I'd not change my sheets for ages, probably over a month. Since OH moved in it's more like fortnightly as he sweats a fair amount. In the summer it needs to be as and when becuase some nights he can even sweat through the pillowcases .
What bedding do you actually have on your bed? At the minute all we have on the mattress is a fitted sheet but i feel this isn't enough for the weather getting warmer (with sweaty OH). Then we have the duvet in cover but nothing else. How many sheets do you use?0
