jen. Running THAT file will auto update malwarebytes
So open Malwarebytes and goto UPDATE ~ the definition file there SHOULD now say ~ 1778
If it DOES, then run another FULL scan
well now Mal icon says when clicked on .... "The database you are using is not supported by this version of Malware. Download the latest version of the programme"

Do you have the original disks for the laptop. It might be best to cut your losses and back up any files you want to keep. Then load the laptop from the original disks. It can be a real pain to get rid of multiple virus even for full time IT staff.0 -
I bought it from Dell fully loaded up.... I havent thrown anything out as far as I know ...

This McAfee problem seems common now - I installed it fresh on my OHs PC and it came up straight away unprotected. It does it almost every single day on mine too. I am dealing with it and going to unleash my wrath on McAfee for not providing the service for which they are charging and get my money back if I canNot been here in years! Hi everyone.
