Blimey you lot...Im busy with essays and this is what you get up to!
Sorry you didnt get the house Uropachild, I was willing for it to happen. I do believe there is a reason for these things and there is a better one round the corner just for you
Round to meI went on my weekly Friday visit today and got the shock of my life. Last week we were at roof level with the brick and were waiting for the trusses to be put in. I dug into my Uni work and was eagerly awaiting Friday to come again to see the trusses and get my weekly progress photo. Anyways got a call before I got there from a stand in sales office person asking why I hadnt picked my kitchen. So I says to her mmmmm why havent you given me a price for the kitchen yet? Apparantley the site manager has rung head office to find out why there wasnt an order for the kitchen in place as he had to have the house finished for us to be in before the end of April   That is 7 weeks away  This house was due completion for end July/Aug, then they moved it to end of May and apparantley they have known for weeks it was end April and no one saw fit to tell us
I have lead times of 8 weeks for furniture we have ordered
Anyway gets to site and gets another shock. We went from no roof at all to looking at workmen tiling my roof!!! I have missed the trusses completely!
Whats going on? This is not normal is it? Im panicking now as I have numerous essays and an exam for May and I now have to add packing to the list...........But Im secretly glad0 -
Blimey!! I think once you have reserved they want it up and sold and money in their pockets. On monday i went and took a picture of just foundations..my hubby went this afternoon after work and the brick work is up to top of the garage level.
I hope they do for me what they have done for you and moved your moving in date forward. It was August for us to start but have now been told June, i would love to be told April!!.0 -
Looks like yours is going same way as ours doesnt it? I hope you do get it moved forward. Its fantastic going every week and the anticipation of how they have got on within the week.

normally cut off point for options are Roof stage im sure you would have got a call this weekend to get you in, why have you waited this long most of our people choose their options as soon as they reserve, admitted you have to pay up front and run the risk of losing that money if the deal does not go ahead.the normal time scale is 8 /10 weeks to build a property to cml stage.my bark is worse than my bite!!!!!!!!0

We havent held off - thats the thing. Apparantley they were in the process of changing their options and so had to do a new pricing structure. We have been asking for the new prices for weeks now! Been told they werent available for weeks too. We werent going to order a kitchen on an upgrade until they told us how much they were going to [strike]shaft[/strike] ahem cough charge us for it. I think there has been a mis communication in house somwhere as everyone but us knew it would be end April.

We were told too that there is no price list for any upgrades as things were being changed. The kitchen in the 1 showhome..which we liked..is no longer available. We have been told to create a wish list and she will then get a price for us!??? Bit odd that. We have a wish list to give her tomorrow so will see.0

Surely thats not acceptable - they should have a list of options and prices - sounds like they're changing suppliers to me. Could be good - could be bad.Never let your sucesses go to your head and never let your failures go to your heart.:beer:0
