I bought mine (x2) on Sunday at aldi and have tried them out today and things seem to have come out pretty well.... It was a smallish load and I used both. They werent excessively noisy and everythings come out clean as far as I can see (although nothing was particularly dirty), and the towels are quite soft even though I didnt put any conditioner in - I've just got to get used to the lack of a smell but I think I can live with that :j I dont know how they will cope if I put a lot of really dirty and smellie stuff in.

Ive used both mine as well on my 1st wash and I was very supprised with the amount of foam produced, I think 1 will use them 1 normal with tablets to 3 with balls, maybe using just 1 ball as my loads are quite small
Thant way the should last me about 2 years befor I need to fill them

The foam is produced by detergent residue in the machine not from the balls - these shouldn't be used in conjunction with detergent otherwise they're not 'ECO' balls are they plus the beads inside then won't work which means you'll never need to refill them as they're not doing the job their made for!0 -

They don't work.
I speak with knowledge of having tested several brands of them on internationally standardised stain strip.
If you find they work for you, try doing a wash with water alone and I guarantee it will work just as well and this is because your washing machine will undoubtedly contain quite a lot of washing powder from previous washes.0 -
I have tried mine three times as follows:
a) Small load, long wash for light coloured towels which had been used to wipe doggy's feet after country walks. Washed surprisingly well but very light stains left, these would have been completely removed with usual detergent.
b) Small coloured wash with lightly soiled items, one item of clothing was a bit sweaty. The items looked clean but the one item did not smell fresh enough.
c) I also rinsed my swimwear using one ball and I was pleased with the result.
All items felt soft and retained their shape.
Conclusion:
I am pleased that I bought them and I will probably use them for about 75% of my washes.:hello:0 -

washing powder and fab conditioner. I brought them mainly because I have allergies. I used them for the first time a couple of days ago and they are great, the clothes smell clean and they took out any dirt on the fabric. I will definatly continue to use them.
If they work and you do 4 washes a week then you wouldn't have to buy any washing powder for 5 years!
Think I may have to investigate.0 -
