  • Well, bought the eco balls today- and with four children and 11 maine coons who are fussy about spotless bedding- I am well impressed!!! My only hesitation is the "wait" for smelly washing? Might do the families wash in normal detergent every few weeks to try and avoid it? They are deffo worth a try.
  • i couldn't get there today, does anyone know if they will be still on offer tomorrow or will they be taken off shelves/ price go up etc?

The offer is on for as long as stocks last I believe.
  • I've used these ones for the best part of a year. A friend who uses the Lakeland ones recommended them. These Ecozone ones were £9.99 in Currys. I bought some for my mum a few weeks after I first got them.

In May I also bought the three pack, which says it'll do 900 washes, from Bid TV. They have different "balls" inside, but both do the trick equally well. I also bought some from Bid TV for my daughter when she and her fiance moved into their flat. He has very sensitive skin and needs to be careful of washing powders. He has had no problems at all with these.

At Aldi's price I'd say try them. I very rarely need to use the stain stick, but when I do it removes almost anything.

I think I may get some of these for Mum, as she has just used her refills.
  • They've missed a trick here - should have had 'em on sale tomorrow in time for Valentine's...
I bought the OH a bag and a belt for Valentine's - she's delighted, the vacuum cleaner works much better now! :rotfl:

I understand that the pack of six balls aerate the washing and you use detergent with them, they just move the washing about more. I imagine that the 6 plastic balls in the machine would be noisy, so I didn't buy them.

The (2 in a box), Echozone ecoballs contain tiny balls inside and no detergent is required. These two balls have a foam ring around them to reduce the noise. I bought a pack of these.

  • Well .... I can't believe the response or numbers of views this thread has had!!

I bought mine (x2) on Sunday at aldi and have tried them out today and things seem to have come out pretty well.... It was a smallish load and I used both. They werent excessively noisy and everythings come out clean as far as I can see (although nothing was particularly dirty), and the towels are quite soft even though I didnt put any conditioner in - I've just got to get used to the lack of a smell but I think I can live with that :j I dont know how they will cope if I put a lot of really dirty and smellie stuff in.
