I think I have it quite easy - DS (12) had some friends round at the weekend for his birthday one of his friends only eats Cheesy Strings, Mash, Fish Fingers,Cheese, Cheese & Onion Walkers Fries, Cheese & Onion Squares, no veg, no fruit, eats large bags of Haribo and drinks Lucozade & Fruit Shoots - thats it
Something gone wrong somewhere!!....Having said that he is quite an academic boy!
Wouldn't get away with it in my house!0 -

My ds 1&2 are 10 and 6 and love:
roast dinners
chicken wraps with fajita seasoning out of a jar
toad in the hole
large Yorkies filled with spag bol or chicken tikka masala
tuna pasta salad
sausage casserole made with a tin of beans and a tin of tomatoes
jacket spuds with beans and cheese
tuna & sweetcorn lasagne
spare ribs in BBQ sauce
HM burgers (made with the trusty burger machine)
I puree quite a few sauces because ds2 says he doesn't like onions, but it's not the taste it's the texture. Generally though meals are non negotiable, although I try to work in people's preferences“the princess jumped from the tower & she learned that she could fly all along. she never needed those wings.”

This is a real hit with my lot(10,9 ,5 and 43)
Potatoes with cheese and bacon
It's just potatoes cut into wedges, tossed in a little oil,and baked on a baking tray in a hot oven for about 40 mins.About 15-20 mins before they're ready I throw on some chopped bacon(goood quality streaky is my fave)so that it is scattered evenly over the spuds. Then 10 mins before the end of cooking I add grated cheese.Serve it up with ketchup obviously, and some veg(peas and sweetcorn are my kids' favourite).
Cheap, easy, always have the ingredients for it and delicious.0 -

Cream cheesy chicken pasta as eaten by the barrowful by my 2 (2 and 4)
Soften an onion or a sliced leek in a little oil, add chopped chicken meat (raw), stir fry for a few mins until the chicken is cooked, add chopped mushrooms/sweetcorn/cooked veggies like broccoli or carrots (great for using up leftovers) or whatever happens to be in your fridge. Add a tub of soft cream cheese (shops own Philly type stuff usually cost about 40p, I use a garlic and herb one for extra flavour!), stir until melted, if it is too thick then add a little milk to thin it down. Serve with the cooked pasta. BTW you could also use leftover chicken from roast dinner in which case just bung it all in just before the cheese0 -

My kids love those Brains Faggots with chips, mash or jacket potato. I've tried making them myself but they still prefer the shop bought ones. At least they are only £1 :j2008 Comping ChallengeWon so far - £3010 Needed - £230Debt free since Oct 20040
