My kids are a lot younger but they like meals where they can create their own, so jacket spuds and they choose their own topping from a variety set out, tortillas with meat, salad, cheese, sauces and they make their own up. Pizza if they've added the topping.
  • catowen - how do you make the pasta dish with the egg? sounds nice.

  • If I let him, my son would eat Spagetti Bolonese for breakfast, dinner & tea. Also as "across" said, magic stars!
  • at the moment there are only so many meals they will both eat hence looking for suggestions

dss1 - will not eat - mince / stew / based meals, doesn't eat eggs and likes very plain or dry food (although will eat chicken tikka masala but only with white rice)

dss2 - will not eat beefburgers (except mcdonalds), sausages with skin, bacon, meatballs. he loves spicy / saucy foods.

they both like curry, and lots of different chicken meals, they will both eat pasta (dss1 only spaghetti), white rice, mash, chips, wraps.

You could cheat and use a tin of Cambells soup (the chicken or the 'chicken and white wine' which I've only been able to buy from Tesco), add some chicken and milk to make it thinner then pour it over pasta. Sprinkle some cheese on the top and grill to brown.

Or you could make a creamy garlic sauce with chicken and pour it over spaghetti or pasta.
If they don't like onions then blend them.... in fact you can blend anything to an unrecogniseable puree and feed it to kids without them noticing :D
Just run, run and keep on running!

i think iwht kids its trial and error

if it helps any, i was a fussy eater when i was little, and whenever the family wanted to introduce a new food to me, i was made to try it with my eyes closed...that way they could find out if i genuinely didnt like the taste, whereas before a visual objection would prevent reaching the tasting stage
