Conspicuous by their absence "Now to trolling as a concept. .... Personally, I've always found it a little sad that people choose to spend such a large proportion of their lives in this way but they do, and we have to deal with it." - MSE Forum Manager 6th July 20100 -
The Eon office has obviously closed until tomorrow morning....

Hi everyone,
1carminestocky is correct, we do only work office hours.
Quite a few of you have now posted comments and questions about our announcement yesterday, so I’ll try to answer as much as I can.
The reason that our price reduction is only for electricity is that we’ve already been amongst the cheapest out there for gas during the winter, when people need it most. And although British Gas dropped their gas prices by 10%, it really only brought them into line with what ours have been for months.
Most people’s gas usage is highest in winter and lowest in the summer, whereas for electricity we use a similar amount all year round. So we’ll all benefit by the electricity prices coming down now because we don’t use so much gas from March onwards anyway.
We might be able to drop prices further in future if the wholesale prices carry on coming down.
Let me know if there’s anything else I can help with.“Official Company Representative
I am an official company representative of E.ON. MSE has given permission for me to post in response to queries about the company, so that I can help solve issues. You can see my name on the companies with permission to post list. I am not allowed to tout for business at all. If you believe I am please report it to forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com This does NOT imply any form of approval of my company or its products by MSE"0 -

I beg to differ, looking at my Eon tariff online v12 and BG websaver on my postcode, They are similar or cheaper than you now, before the price cut.
