Still not getting them! I'd emailed about another matter and thought I'd request the exit rows. Just got this back:
"Emergency exit seating is only assigned at check-in on a 'first-come, first-served' basis as all passengers in those seats must be seen by our Passenger Services Supervisory staff to be fit to occupy them as "in the unlikely event of an inflight emergency", passengers in these seats would be expected to assist the crew."
Worth a try though.

Hi guys, I'm flying to Vegas from Gatwick at the beginning of may with Virgin, I'm currently booked into economy, the price on the website to upgrade to premium is £900ish. Now is it cheaper to buy the upgrade now or wait until check-in to see if its cheaper? I will be on my own.
Any help would be appreciated.0 -
I got upgraded at half term when I flew from LHR to LAX with Virgin. I went to the ticketing desk and asked if I could pay for an upgrade - about £199 from Ec to PE then, but prob cos I have a few thousand points and a pretty new Virgin Amex card - I got it for free
and I had DS2 with me (he's 8)
No such luck on the way back as the only free seats left were in in Upper and I wasn't going to pay the £'s for that upgrade!!!!Noli nothis permittere te terere

Personally, being on my own I'd make sure I'd got an aisle seat (or window if you prefer) and save the £900. I'd then immediately go to the Bellagio and put it all on black.0 -
£900 sounds an awful lot just from economy to premium economy-are you sure that isn't to upper?
Anyway if it is to premium economy -No it isn't worth itI Would Rather Climb A Mountain Than Crawl Into A Hole

£900 sounds like a return price, possibly from an X/Q fare.0
