I'm assuming that Male flight attendants don't take offense at being called trolly dolly's? :whistle:neilbond007 wrote: »hey, what happened on that plane is between me, the trolly dolly and a pot of vaseline.. ok?

I have never know a dress code in upper? Sure i flew last time in Upper with 3/4 trousers and a pair of Nike Air Rifts.
There isn't a dress code in Virgin Upper nor in BA Club World or First but when check in staff are looking for passengers to upgrade (usually because of overbooking the economy cabins and space available in the premium cabins), they are advised to look for 'smartly dressed' passengers. This usually means long trousers rather than shorts and 20 years ago it used to mean passengers wearing a suit would be chosen over someone wearing jeans.
If you booked and paid for a premium cabin, ie you're not being upgraded, you can wear what you want as long as it isn't 'offensive'. Dunno how you'd interpret that these days :Dbut we used to ask passengers who were wearing t-shirts with controversial slogans on them if they had a different one they could change into.0 -
If you tell them you're going on your honeymoon they will often upgrade you if there's space available. Take your marriage certificate (or at least a copy) though - how often do you suppose they get asked that?!neilbond007 wrote: »i was asked if i had any long tousers (as i was wearing shorts)... nudge nudge wink wink.. I retrieved some out of my case and myself and the wife were upgraded.
If I ever travel club class having paid for it (possibly myself, more likely for business travel) I'm going to make a point of dressing as scruffy as possible. I'd like to see them ask me to put on some trousers!0 -

We're flying Club Class in August NCL/LHR/YVR and back.
I can guarantee that we won't get offered an upgrade, even though we're in BAEC, as these were redemption tickets bought with BA Miles generated at Tesco....they *will* know
Still, upto £12500 of tickets for £890 and some Clubcard points.......British Ex-pat in British Columbia!0 -
