Well done mate. Threaten to close your account! That should do the trick!0 -
from my days in student halls carting clothes back and forth to the launderette, those big blue ikea bags that you use instead of baskets but can buy at the tills were great for all dirty clothes.
have you given any thought as to what you will do with all your 'spare' money once you are debt free? nothing like having a goal to motivate you to work harderknow thyselfNid wy'n gofyn bywyd moethus...0 -
One of the first things I did when I got my Money Diet book for Xmas was go to the bank (LloydsTSB) and ask what I was getting for my £10 per month current account charge and £7 per month Budget account charge. I was getting lots of perks but I wasn't using any, downgraded both account to classic account and kept both overdrafts - both over £1000!! They are still laughing cos i pay such high interest on my overdraft but I am now saving £17 per month - felt sick when I worked out what i'd paid them unnecessarily!! Hope to get the overdrafts down when I sue them for bank charges for the last 6 years. Bit scary that one but I'm looking into it!!! Will be over £900 if i'm successful. See the bank charges - illegal? thread. Hope this is of some help, let me know if I have been unclear.
