    Hello matey!

I've got a Tesco loan but it isn't flexible. I also phoned them about the promo 5.9% to see if they would reduce my rate but apparently you have to be a homeowner for it!

I'm sceptical about 0% cards now for 2 reasons. The first being the fee they charge. If you have to do 2 transfers to new cards a year you can pay upto 5% in fees. American Express do a card that has an APR of 4.9%!

Also the risk of not being accepted for a new 0% card and then being charged 12.9% or something crazy like that is too much of a risk for me. I'd rather take the safer option of a low life of balance transfer card!

But hey what do I know? I'm nearly £30k in debt! ;):p :rotfl:

Wait til you get a response from Cap One hun - it shouldnt be too much longer.

Would the 5.9% make a big difference to your loan? If you cant make overpayments or you get charged a hefty early repayment fee then it might not be worth changing, but well done on spotting it you clever MS-er!!

You are doing so so well!! ((Have you heard from Willsnarf lately??!!)).

    Keep up the excellent work.

    xx

If you're looking for a new loan, check out Northern Rock - last I heard they were 5.8% and ARE flexible with no additional penalties. Only downside is their bullying tactics when it comes to their Loan Insurance - just stick to your guns and say no and eventually they will give in as long as you sign a disclaimer.

    Keep up the good work.
