The most important thing is that you know how much you owe and you are doing your best to pay it off. I am glad you felt comfortable enough to share your other debt with us. At the end of the day, you are still a 'nerd' like us and we want you to do well - which you are.
Paying back debt is hard, depressing and all sorts of other negative things. Despite all that though, it is the way to a better life and a massive achievement once we all get there.
You will get there, I have no doubt about it. Just keep chucking the £££ at it and coming here for aor :j It's the perfect place for it!
Hugs - keep your chin up!

must admit i now feel so much better for posting my true debt in here and having a clear conscience so to speak.......im going to give it 110% and plough all my energy and resources in to getting my debt down :j
Hopefully by the end of this month i will be able tom use my over time and the spare money that i have free from my wages to pay off £700 from my loan in over payments....On the 15th of this month my regular payment comes out so hopefully i should be able to pay off just over £944 off my loan by this time next month.
Big thank you to SS for being a massive inspiration to me in the way he handles his debt and for making me laugh
Keep going mate and i hope you get all your bank charges back :jSavings Total so far for 2023: £8,062.580 -

Well im estimating i will get approx £400 in over time and i will put the £300 a month i have spare out of my wages to that, will only be able to keep this up so long as overtime lasts though, word is that the overtime might be gone by september because they might have a nightshift to do the overtime.
So im going to plough in as many days as possible and just pay off as much as humanly possible by September and see where i go from there.
If the over time drops off then i will still be able to overpay by around £300 a month if i stick to my budget :jSavings Total so far for 2023: £8,062.580 -

Hi James,
Have just been catching up with your diary and have seen your confession. Just want to say well done! Now you will really be able to tackle the debt with us all behind you ... all of the debt!
The biggest problem I have found with being in debt is the denial of it. I did not want to acknowledge how in debt I was until I decided one night to face it and add it all up.... and I cried for hours!!
I have only got my CC debt on my signature ... there is another £40k in loans to add to it. I haven't hidden it from anyone on here (or myself), I declared it but decided that I needed to work at clearing the CC's and leave the loans to run their course while I do that. The rates on the loans are good and they expire one by one each year over the next 3 years, and as they expire I will throw those repayments at the CC's to bring my DFD closer.
Glad you have come clean for yourself. It doesn't matter to us but it will make a difference to you. We love you no matter how much debt you've got!
