Jamesy you dark horse! :rotfl:

The important thing about this is to make sure you haven't been using the credit cards!

We will have to have a vote to see whether you are still a worthy member of the nerds club! :p;)

Not that it makes any difference mate but just wondered why you never said anything before and why you are now?

Don't worry mate. You'll soon have it ALL paid off! :D

No havent used the cards in ages, in all honesty i havent said anything about these before because i was embarressed about it ive only told one person about these debts and thats Kipper and shes kept schtum about it for ages, just feel better for getting it off my chest because it was getting me down.

Thats why i was posting so much aobut being down, at the rate its going im trying so hard to keep to my budgets it really is taking over my life at the moment, sometimes i feel good aobut keeping my budget other times i feel really down about not having any money.

Im going to write a cheque for £250 tonight and send it off to Egg for another over payment on my loan and ive applied for the capital one card for 0% for 15 months.

Im waiting for them to get back to me if i can get the credit limit i need, if i can get the right credit limit then i will balance transfer everything over.

Just feel embarresed about how much i owe SS :(

Don't be daft mate! Look at the sh*t I'm in! :rotfl:

I'm glad you told us though. Hopefully it will make you feel better about things.

I know what you mean about it taking over your life. I'm struggling with it aswell. Seems like I'm putting in the effort 24/7 and only for very slow progress. I'm gonna make an extra effort to stop looking at my balances 10 times a day, even though I know they haven't gone down!

Think thats something im going to stop doing as well im forever looking at my balances trying to see if there is another angle i can go to to knock more money off the balances ........ im going to plough on through my loan at the moment and make as big as dent in that as possible when i get paid on the 30th April my over time will be in there so i can start to make some big dents into it...... The credit card debt is at a much lower rate so will just pay the minium on that for the moment .....

hiya peeps im looking at getting myself a treat i want to start collecting the Stargate SG1 Tv series Yeah i know  on DVD there £21.99 a season approximatley and theres 9 seasons was thinking about getting one season a month.

Whats bugging me is that do u think i should get them and treat my self or put it towards my debt????

    all opinions welcome

One thing about tv boxsets - if you wait, they'll usually do one big supersized boxset with the whole lot in them and it works out soooo much cheaper than buying them individually.

I'm a fan of Buffy (which is an understatement :p ) and I was tempted to buy the individual seasons for about £30 a pop (there's 7 seasons). But they ended up bringing out a boxset for £120, so it worked out a heck of a lot cheaper doing it that way.

    Hey James

The most important thing is that you know how much you owe and you are doing your best to pay it off. I am glad you felt comfortable enough to share your other debt with us. At the end of the day, you are still a 'nerd' like us and we want you to do well - which you are.

Paying back debt is hard, depressing and all sorts of other negative things. Despite all that though, it is the way to a better life and a massive achievement once we all get there.

You will get there, I have no doubt about it. Just keep chucking the £££ at it and coming here for a  or :j It's the perfect place for it!

Hugs - keep your chin up!
    Leason learnt
