I thought that everyone here was doing it that way. I've felt a bit sneaky but the thought that you all were doing it too gave me the bottle. I'm not going to do that again.
Don't panic Angel, I have been doing that too!! Have got 8 packets now, two lots of 4 and planning on doing the same agan today. I think a few people are doing this, just not admitting it!Sorting my life out to give a better life to my:heartsmil 2 gorgeous boys :heartsmil0 -
grahamfromoldham wrote:Exposing loopholes in Boots' Advantage card points and getting products for free is one thing. Lets take for example the recent Time Delay 'promotion' where a lot of people were walking in with their voucher(s) and walking out with products for free. Lets also take the other example of Gym balls, and the more recent Everday indulgence range where we've been getting them basically for free too. But actually having the bare-faced cheek to return these goods either in exchange for money back is wrong and will only spoil it for future offers. I don't care how you reply to this (if at all) but I know after speaking to others, they too feel as strongly as I do about this 'practice'. Please think about it before you take things back in this way.
I totally agree with you ..... however after this comment I hope you will not be returning any of the 108 EI products you "bought" the other day (I am assuming it is you, as you have exactly the same name as the person who did on the other web site!) If anything will spoil these type of offers/loopholes in the future is one person like you walking out of the store with 100+ products for free. I wouldn't be suprised if Boots have now had enough and put a limit to not only how many vouchers but how many you can buy in one go!!!!!!
Taking back the odd free product for a refund may be very bad as you say but it will probably overlooked in the general scheme of things.... one person buying so much in one go will stand out like a sore thumb and will not be ignored!!!!!0 -

Ha-ha..108 items, you're having a laugh! I got much more than that! There's no limit, but going back to my original point, returning items for money is out of order whereas grabbing stuff when possible is morally acceptable, hence this discussion forum..."grabbit while you can"......."not return it for free money when you can"0 -

I am afraid you have probably spoilt it for a lot of people including yourself in the future, hope it was worth it.......ha-ha ha-ha.....0 -

I agree.
I think that a bit of common sense will ensure that Boots continue to have such good offers for everyone. Being too greedy and grabby is sure to draw too much attention to the glitches that we all take advantage of.
Also, wouldn't it be nicer to leave some for the next MSE'r to get a bargain too? We've all seen how the shelves can clear so quickly.:smileyhea "here, hare, here" :smileyhea0 -

Here here! I hope we can all enjoy the benefits of these great threads (and my thanks to the excellent mse'rs that bring us the information) ... without people getting greedy!!!0 -
I wouldn't like to buy an item and then find out that it has been sitting in someones cupboard or gone home to someones house and had god knows what done to it. Once bought and then return to be bought again i feel an item is second hand. By returning items that were clearly in a deal without a reciept will quickly put in place a policy to only exchange/refund with a reciept. Both buying lots of products AND returning without a reciept highlights loopholes that will quickly be closed. However i believe it is morally wrong to get an item for free and return it to get back more than you handed over for it.
I guess it is all where your morals lie.
And the point about taking items back so other MSE's can have more of a chance of buying them is a false economy as the items are usually returned after the deal is over TD and exercise balls a good example) and by buying more than you intend to keep you are with holding these deals from fellow MSE's for your own financial gain. Hmmmm...0 -
If you returned any TD to Boots (i wouldn't because i used the stuff even before all the freebees) maybe you should get back your original £5 off voucher which will now be out of date . or is that me just being naughty :rotfl:0

Just to stick my oar into this discussion
I am one of those "people" who have returned some TD stuff to Boots but the reason for this return was due to the fact that the TD wipes had made my face sore & dry and not a pretty sight (less time delay more like flaky skin alert  ) and I asked the SA if i could return these and buy the no7 wipes instead. It says on their packaging that if you are not happy you are entitled to a refund so I wasnt taking poor old boots for a ride there. They gave me a refund on a gift card which i spent straightaway - incidently maybe not money saving but i did spend more than they refunded but it was worth it as the wipes/face cream from no7 dont make me look like a stand-in for the singing detective!!!
I have no moral problem with my returns as they were justified imo but what i do find unbelievable is the "amount" of freebies/loopholes that any one person needs of a particular product. Getting a couple of TD items in one go when free is fine (and i know a lot of ppl are using it for gift sets so everyone benefits) but buying 108 EI products has gone off the scale in regards to greed,it is these ppl who will spoil it for others.
