I've tried to stay away from this thread for a while cause I'm skint, but just had £10 of vouchers from pigsback come through.
Has anyone had the EI stuff from the Merry Hill branch? Need to stock up on shower gel0 -

Not the cheapest brand, but some No.7 suncare products are BOGOF (buy one get one free) **and I'm sure I read that a till 'glitch' is adding both totals thus allowing a 'free' No.7 gift bag (for spending £15 on No.7).... sure someone can confirm if this is so!
**If not, the BOGOF offer is still a good one!
Bought 2 suncreams for £12 and the bag went through no problem :j :j
Only dilemma now is, shall I give the bag to my mum along with her suncream, or keep it for myself - Hmmmmmmm.

AC machine wouldn't give me any of the mens toiletry points today and most of the others had disappeared too - tried 2 stores and all I got was the Mark Hill points and the No7 powder one .
Has this finished? - it was working for me yesterday.0 -

Remember the Trevor Sorbie "old range" bodywash (for the boys) is going for 1/4 normal price if you find any left - and you can combine it with the £4 off when you spend £10 AND the spend £10 get skincare/chocs voucher AND get loads of bonus points on TS too! This is a system account and does not represent a real person. I did something similar to this at xmas with red and green cellophane which I bought at a stationers for 99p a roll. Always worth asking for the free stuff first though!:D"And crawling on the planet's face,

Got some yesterday evening - glad I did if it's now finished! Haven't been to Boots today - perhaps someone can enlighten us as to what the AC machine is producing today!
We'll probably get lots of baby offers in the near future, given how many people are now pregnant - expect a baby boom at the end of the summer!
Bedshaped - thanks for the tip about removing the vouchers - will arm myself with a knife later! Re wrapping up gift packages, our local garden centre will do it for you if you ask nicely, I think it costs a pound, but they do the whole ribbon and cellophone thing - we use it for PTA raffle stuff (in which case they nicely do it for free!). So it may be worth checking out your local one, unless you have loads to wrap up.GC Oct £387.69/£400, GC Nov £312.58/£400, GC Dec £111.87/£4000 -

oooo SO frustrating!
Had an EI voucher last week. got around 8 things, got 2100 points, very chuffed with myself. Spent my 14000 points Id accumulated on mp3 player to ebay, as could never find anything cheap i wanted to spend points on and was scared of losing my card. This week there's a bargain camera I want for £103. I've had to pay cash! arghhh! If i had another voucher I could have paid about 2/3 for it by buying a mountain of EI (and they have LOADS at meadowhall) and paying with points. EI stuff could have gone to the sally army shelter.
still, camera was a bargain!
Tempted to ask aroudn friends for the voucher. get points, then get them to refund and resell me the camera paying with points. Am i over thinkign this?
oh dear. should just be happy with the bargain right!0 -
if theres summin you really want i reckon its worth doing it the EI way to get stuff plus teh item cheaper.
70 EI items would give £105 worth of points but the handwashes on bogof would only cost £58.10 so your camera would be well cheaper and if you were gonna given em to charity well many more people will benefit wont they?:T The best things in life are FREE! :T0 -
....other MSEers could use thsi method for bigger purchease they needs, e.g. prams and cots or expensive electricals etc.
if you already have teh cash put aside for the goods, its a good way to do it i think. i dont need owt big at teh mo so im good with my £30 worths i got with my voucher and my mates.
but say you saved up for an expensive £300 buggy, instead you could buy 200 EI handwashes at bogof for £166 and get £300 worth of points so youd get your buggy plus £134 in your pocket plus tonnes of handwash to either use yourself, share with friends and family or give to charity
i think someone was trying to make teh point that it was false economy in an earlier post but if it was summin you really wanted/needed and it was cheapest at boots, i dont see teh problem?:T The best things in life are FREE! :T0
