Just a quick question - I want to make a gift sets of the EI (h/wash+b/wash+lotion). Anyone has any ideas where I could get cheap bags or how could I pack them nicely? My BF is going home next tuesday and I want to make a gift for him mum. Who knows, I might even pack something from DR range!!!!

I've seen silver mesh bags in Boots, often knocking round the Natural Collection toiletries, though they don't seem to be marked as part of the range. They seem quite tall and thin, so would probably take a couple or few bottles of EI.

They catch my eye as they don't tend to have a price displayed most of the time - but I think I saw them at 37p at one point (so probably under £1 at full price?)

I think the cellophane idea is nice too - of course Boots have taken to putting bits of skincare out in it and you can see it's quite effective :)

  • Good morning my fellow "Bootsers". I'm shortly off to do my 10 mile drive to nearest Boots with AC machine. Why can't all the branches have them  I only manage to do this about once a week as I work miles from Boots so I have to make sure I take full "Advantage" if you know what I mean ;)

Have written myself a nice list so I am organised when I get there, otherwise my brain tends to go into forget mode and I'll come away with nothing :o

Hope you all have a good morning. I'll let you all know how I get on, I'm mainly hoping to get another EI voucher and the Avene bag. Fingers crossed :D

good lucj- hope you manage to fill yer boots! :p

My children think that I'm mad to spend so much time in Boots anyway, but none of them have refused any of the goodies yet! In fact last night they were asking when I'm next going as they've finished all the 99p chocs!

I think if I'd have been you I'd have been trying to explain how the voucher worked to them! No doubt they'd have thought me bonkers, so at the stage that they were trying to edge away I'd probably have asked if I could have their voucher! :p

You one crazy mummysaver!!!!!! We need to have tactical training in place or some sort of manual that we can refer to in situations like this. Anyone offering?
  • Managed to get an EI voucher yesterday at Market St, Manchester. Only 6 bottles of Hand Wash left though.

Tried my luck with the Free Avene Bags but evil SA caught me - she wasnt even serving me !!!! Ran over saying i had to buy the right item to get them free - so off i ran back downstairs. Got 4 Botanics wipes to cover the 3 Avene bags. Back to the till and the big mama was there waiting for me. Told me as it was bou one get one free on Botanics i could only have 2 bags.

Ok now i got my stuff and a £5 skincare voucher. Back downstairs i went. Picked up some Time Delay cream and another bag. Went to a different till and Hey Presto nothing to pay.

None of the Trvor Sorbie Hair Glossers and not a single item in Body Science range - oh poo.

Ended up at the Trafford Centre Botts later but no EI Voucher but there was loads of it. I got 2 meal deals and had 2 vouchers for a 100 points each. SA said you can only use one - i said " Have you tried it? " she said no so i said well just try. She asked another member of staff and she also said i couldnt use it. I demanded she try it - she did - and Hy Presto it worked - miserable so n so only went and did it 3 times - HA Ha - 300 points !!!

Now what shall i do with 3 Avene sets ????

sorry lack of EI is my fault! (hehe!) i asked if they could put some more out coz i was taking 12 and the ones left were all sticky the girl said shed go later to the stock room and get some more but obviously she didnt!

i managed to get 6 avene sets with 6 items on bogof, twice! they must have cracked down on it!

you could give your avene sets as gifts? swap em for summin else with a mate? or else use the stuff in case you get burnt this warm sunny hot british summer!

did you manage to find all teh sachet samples all hidden around the skin care section? me and mmy mate did we got loads! hehe!

Could someone enlighten me o nthe avene product searched back and can't seem to find details........thanks julie

it looks like this ebay item (again not my ebay so no spam shouting at me pls!)

    http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/eau-thermale-Avene-after-sun-repair-lotion-BN-RRP-17-95_W0QQitemZ5663908734QQcategoryZ74996QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

it come free with certain skin care ranges in certain boots branches.

the skin care is: avene, a-derma, olay, roc, botanics, daniele ryman.

botanics is bogof so for £3.99 you get 2 items (face wipes or face wash) and two bags (but some SA's dispute this so pick a good un!)

you can also use your free £5 skin care voucher to get a-derma soap for £4.05 or avene face spray for £3.99 and naother bag too.

they do scan with owt, (teh barcode is set at £0.00) but the SA's are getting wise, so again pick a good un if you wanna try it with owt else than on the list (coz at most tills now theyve got a printed list next to each one to catch you out!)

    :j enjoy!

    Hi bargain,

EI = Everyday Indulgence, a Boots-own bathing range.

The deal is that the Advantage Card machine may offer you a voucher for 150 points. If you get one, don't print till you've checked to see if the store stocks this line - as you will probably only see if offered once.

The magic bit is that EI is reduced at the moment *and* on bogof *and* the 150 goes on for every single bottle, even the ones you don't pay for.

So you could buy 6 hand wash at £1.66, pay £4.98 and receive 900 points.

lucky boosters only get one shot at this so make the most!

EI is every day indulgence which is has handwashes, hand and body lotion, body wash and bath bubbles.

see teh first post for a pic so you know what youre looking for.

the voucher if from teh AC machine and if for 150 points when you buy any EI.

EI is on bogof, and the handwash is £1.66, lotion is £1.99, and body wash is £1.99

the points are added PER product but only for one transaction, so if you get 14 handwashes youre spending £11.62 but getting £21.00 worth of points (plus your £5 skin care/ 99p choccies voucher)

or some peopel are getting 12 which is £9.96, and then adding a choccie bar/ pack of chuddy to make it a tenner.

so basically if youve an advantage card, boots are paying you to take these lovely things off their hands! hehe!
