Just reading about the person who bought an 108 EI products on part 6. Just because you get 150 points per item.

Prehaps it is me but that makes no sense they spent £112  . If they could afford a £112 why not put that towards the Ipod in cash and source from the cheapest source possible. They spent that amount of cash to get £165 in points which means they gained an extra an extra £53 in points but spent £112. And could be buying a product that you might not never use. Seems a little strange to me.

Me thinks some people have more money than sense.

Either ebay or it gets taken back which one do you reckon.

    But each to there own.

And I did buy 6 EI items so got £9 worth of points. But with birthdays and Mothers days coming up they will get used anyway. And in the end with a Boots £5 gift voucher I earned from pigsback all the shopping cost me £1.95 in cash. So hardly was going to make me broke.

  • EI is on bogof, so if they got 108 handwashes at £1.66 each they would have spent £62.64 to get £162 worth of points, so despite the large initial outlay they did make £100 and would have got their skincare voucher for £5 worth too and they wont have to buy handwash for the next year or so! so good on em i say!

  • i agree with you Calley its crazy.

Got my boots fix yesterday brought 3 packs of boots sterilising tablets fr 24p each, handy for getting tupperware sparkling and smell nice, plus it gave me a buzz of getting a bargain! Also they'd reduced boots ladies shaving foam and hair removing item and they were also bogof.

Umm I am well aware it is on BOGOF I used the voucher myself. I am quoting what was put on another post. And reading the person post on another forum they clearly state they bought a 108 items and it cost them £112.55 to be exact.

So they must have bought something else beside hand wash. So they still paid out £112.55 to buy items that possibly not needed or wanted to get extra points.

I am sure that you can source Ipods cheaper from other places rather than Boots. It is not like stoozing where you put the money in to bank account and earn from it.

To me if you can afford to spend £112 on items that you really don't need to get an item that is worth £165 you have still spent a £112 and got a bunch ot items that you can't use. That to me is both greedy and wasteful. Granted they have not said what they are going do with the items. They may give them away for all we know.

But hey it was free and it only cost them £112 rather than a £165. This is rather like the on the last thread about the spending £15 to get a No7 goodie bag free. It is not free as you had to spend £15 to get it. If you where buying the goods anyway then not a problem.

But each to there own. They obviously where desperate to get an Ipod. But then in a futher message on that thread on another forum he has said I hope jokingly "Anyone want an ipod"

Has anyone else managed to locate the Avene after sun gift bags yet? Would like to get one, but don't want to make a special trip, unless there is a good chance of getting one. Do you need a special voucher for this offer or is it a buy X from X range and get free gift bag type offer? Any help appreciated.

Umm never said it was not. But a 108 even with a family is going to take a hell of long time to work your way through. You are looking at a couple of years at least.

I always keep a couple in reserve so I can always fill up on the next good find.

But also point that people fail to grasp. Is that they are buying a product in a range that they would have never bought in the first place and probably costs more than they would normally spend. And the points you can only spend in Boots. It is not like you are getting real hard cash back in your puddy to spend else where.

But then of course they are getting the points back and they are free. And that is why Boots are more expensive than most on the highstreet. You find normally the cheaper the shop then are not going to have a loyalty card scheme like wilkinsons.

But hey each to there own. If they feel that is the best way to spend there money then let them.
