Starting a claim for PPI with Welcome Finance

Well just touched base with WELLSCUM FINANCE and they are saying that the letter has not been received by the Legal Compliance Dept. Funny thing is WELSCUM signed for the letter two weeks ago. So I was put on hold and another lady of bad repute spoke to me. Oh let me enquire some more. So put on hold again. Next a new lady answered you through to the insurance dept manager. Blah blah blah. I will investigate some more and ring you back.....

STILL WAITING.......

Sounds to me like one dept are just passing the buck around each other in the vein hope i will get sick of this and go away.

WELL I WONT.....

So just wait a few more days and ring again. This time threatening the FOS....

Their choice pay me what you owe me or GAME ON im totally ready to goto the media with facts and figures. And evidence of their Illegal and Immoral practises.

Just had a letter from Welcome finance's compliance Dept.

We all knew that this would happen. The letter states blah blah blah.
FINAL RESPONSE.

We are not giving you your money back Blah blah blah.

Attatched sheets show you signed for insurance and that you wanted insurance.

Well Welscum Yes I did as I knew no better due to you lack of information regarding the cost of alternative insurance. Which would have saved me loads of money.

I have rang the compliance dept in Nottingham and complained at their response and clearly stating to them that....

1 NO explanation was given that I could have obtained my own private insurance.

2 I HAVE a witness who will swear in court if needs be that I WAS TOLD IF YOU DO NOT TAKE THIS INSURANCE NO LOAN.....

3 And as a parting gift the fact that I have contacts in the Radio Broadcasting industry and that a story is going to be written by me and passed to a radio presenter in the hope that Welcome finance will be shown to be Unlawfull in their dealings with customers.

Anyways waiting now for another call back from the Compliance Dept.

Onwards and upwards for the glory of the empire.

Next step the FOS.

I had three, yes three letters from Welcome today:

First - Final Response To Your Complaint - I had complained that the acceptance fee was added to credit, therefore, I was charged interest on this, however, they've advised this isn't the case, and I agree with this now.

Second - Charge increase letter

Third - An offer of 35% off if I pay within 21 days, which they know I can't as I'm a student.

I'm going to wait until my SAR comes back and take it from there, as I want to reclaim PPI due to this not being cancelled when I requested it to.

Well I ahev today done the second letter to welscum and it is copied below. Hope that lights a fire under em. Oh and a witness statement has been sent giving evidence of what they said to me.

I do not feel your letter has offered a satisfactory justification that my policy was sold fairly, reasonably and within my best interests so I request that you look into my complaint again. If I do not receive a more favorable response within 14 days I shall be taking my complaint to the Financial Ombudsman.

I enclose a statement signed by the witness to your illegal selling of PPI on my loan xxxxxxx. But also you should be aware that when my first loan was taken out I clearly remember your member of staff in the Scarborough office say to me you must have this insurance. At no time in my dealings with Welcome Finance was the fact PPI insurance was cheaper else where and that I could get my own Insurance cover at a cheaper price. I myself am willing to swear in court that this is in fact how Welcome Finance sold me the PPI. As will the witness to my dealings with Welcome Finance at the Crossgates office in Leeds.

This I believe is an illegal practice. On the FSA web site they have clear rules on how a company should do business with its customers, I believe that Welcome finance DID NOT do business with myself in the correct manner and I was not given FAIR and REASONABLE advice on the PPI sold to me. I was led to believe from your employees that you have to have the insurance offered by Welcome Finance in order to obtain the credit.

ALL PEOPLE who are trying in vein to claim PPI back. The FSA web site has some great information on what companies who are registered with them must abide by. So its always worth just taking a look there to for some inspiration.

And if anyone is having issues with them please feel free to message me and if I can be of assistance then by all means I will help you all I can. But please I do work long shifts at the wierdest times so I may be a few days replying to you. :A :T
