    Made some payments today.

    Vanquis was £119 - now £0
    Aqua was £220 - now £170
    Aqua was £80 - now £0

Just got to pay off £170 to aqua then I'm credit-card debt free. :)
    2 aqua accounts or is 1 cap1?

CapOne. Sorry, it's been a long day at work. :D
I'm going to pay off Aqua on 23rd when I get paid from the 2nd job. Can't wait to owe no money on CC's. I'm getting rid of Aqua and Vanquis. Don't want any more then 1 CC.

Indirectly the higher the limit means that other lenders can assess you better as they will see for instance that although you may have a card with £2k limit, if you only owe £200 then this looks good.

If however you have a card with a £200 limit and a balance of £190 this looks bad.

Basically, higher/more credit commitments show prospective lenders you can manage. There is no hard rule that says more credit = better score but it will inadvertently help.

    Yep

Credit Limit Increase - Manage your account well † and we'll increase your credit limit on your 4th statement.

    in response no

i've had mine since april this year and it is on equifax and experian but as of yet not on my call credit report.

ring them and ask if theres any reason that yours isnt reported to the CRA's and request that they then report it from the initial date of getting the card with them i.e. backdate (which they may or may not do but is still worth the ask as this will significantly improve your credit report as it shows good credit management)

I'd state that the non reporting of this account to the CRAs is detrimental on your report and wish for it to be updated asap

Thanks, I'll get on to this now.

Just spoke to them and they said it should be on there so they are going to get in touch with another department (I've already forgotten the name, useless) and sort it out. I've said I'll check my credit reports in a month and come back to them if they're not on there.

    Thanks for the advice.
