I got turn down but got cap one apr @ 34.9%
Hi
Glad you got your Cap One Card, I think you will find that the APR will start to slowly reduce the more you use the card, and the more payments you make. I think mine started at that rate, and I have had my Tiger Card since March 03, now it is down to 23.4% APR, and my limit has gone from £200 to £1600, and since taking this card, I have also now two cards with Lloyds TSB and Nationwide.
I did have a few defaults and two CCJs when I took out the Cap One card, through no fault of my own, went through bad financial problems trying to keep two homes running, both here and in the US, and things suffered, but Cap One gave me the chance, and now my bad credit seems to be down to one default, the rest has vanished.
Of course, this does not match to EASTERNTHUNDERUK Who obviously should now be dead, as he has reached his height of perfection, I guess once you strive for perfection, there is nothing else left for you, I have known people like this before who have strived for nothing but perfection, drove themselves in the nut house in the end with it all, as nothing else in life mattered, just perfection, so with a bit of luck, he will be able to afford to pay for his "Indefinate" stay at the Priory, with his perfect Platinum AMEX, with no pre-set spending limit, which I am sure will come in handy, when the psychiatrist needs paying. He needs to remember one point, the higher the monkey climbs, the more it shows it's !!!!, and I'm sure there is a whole forum of people just waiting to catch him (not) when he has that great big fall. I wish you all, apart from him, the best of luck in your findings, with your new cards.0 -

Vanquis can take upto a month so bear with them.... everything is manually assessed that is why it is slower.2010 - year of the troll

Hi everyone, I applied for a vanquis card around three weeks ago. I just phoned them this morning to ask how my application is going, they said they just need me to send proof of identity ie passport or driving license and also a utility bill with my address on it.
Is this normal? Also what do you think my chances are if they are asking for this.
Thanks!0 -

Yes normal if you're not electronically verified, i.e. missing from electoral register. Regards to getting it, very high chance or they'd have just said no.2010 - year of the troll
