i'm insinuating that vanquis simply do not ring mobiles, usually. You're the only person on this site in all the threads i've read that say they rung your mobile! Ring customer services 2mw when they open and ask them if they will ring you back on your mobile and see what they say!

They don't have access to ring mobiles, apparently! But this could be a security feature or something, tmaybe they do a 192 search or something? who knows....

They rang me on my mobile! Umteen times!

NO THEY DID NOT! Not in March 2009 they never! Maybe they rung you to confirm acceptance but they would not ring umpteen times - they try a few times then write to you.

In March 2009 they did not, they rung the odd one but part of qualifying is to have a land line.

You picked up a point that we ended months ago - get with the programme!

We established that Vanquis have changed criteria and now do not demand a landline even though it is part of qualifying.

They rang me a fair few times on my mobile. I don't pick up numbers I don't know, so didn't answer, and to be fair most of them were genuine missed calls - I can't pick up if I'm workin in school or clinic. I rang the number back after a couple of calls and thought the automated message said "you were called by natwest" so ignored it . Don't know why, but I checked again and heard it right, checked on here for what they might want and realised I'd probably been accepted, and was right

At the time this argument was present there was some confusion as to whether Vanquis did ring mobiles. They state that a landline is required to apply, however - it was confirmed (around March time) that if you put a mobile in here it will work because it is automated call dialling. This must mean that now they accept mobiles as well as landlines.

We all learned this back in March as it was quite major due to people not having a landline. I guess maybe Vanquis decided it would open wider scope to allow mobiles to be entered? Who knows but they do ring mobiles now, I agree.

    Hi there,

I got my vanquis card in January, have made all payments and still havent had a credit limit increase. I understand they dont accept credit limit increase requests over the phone?

My credit limit is £250 and wouldnt mind this increasing. I also take it if you have a credit limit increase it increases your credit score?

    Thanks
Quite possible that you MAY get an increase this month.
That said some people wait a full 6 months or more to see the first increase.
Have you any other credit agreements in force?
    Catalogues, other cards etc?
All you can do is continue to pay on time, stay within credit limit and it WILL happen.
    Good luck
