Same, I'm hoping within a year to be able to get a mainstream card.
Hence why I applied for all three (Capital one, aqua and vanquis) and have several calalogues with a overall limit of almost £3500.

I have a £250 limit too, when do we receive a increase? :rotfl:

If you operate the account perfectly you may get an increase on month 4, however it took Vanquis 9 months to increase my limit

Strange though my apr was meant to be 59.9% just read the paperwork and it states a good old 39.9%

Does that happen to people often?

I don't think my paperwork quoted the APR, but the simple rate... or something like that...

I've had my granite for a year starter was £500 on 34.9% APR - operated perfectly, pay in full, sometimes gone up to £200 in a month - no increase at all.
  • Hi all,

Quick questions, that i can't seem to find after searching through this thread, though i may have missed it.

I've just applied online for a Vanquis Credit Card, and got the following message -

"Thank you for your Vanquis Visa Card application, We have almost all the information we need. We just need to call you to complete your application"

    My questions are -

Does this mean i've been accepted?
How soon am i likely to receive the call?
When they call, and if i am accepted, will they be able to tell me my credit limit?

Many Thanks in advance for your help.

Does this mean i've been accepted? - Yes, You'll receive a phone call from them trying to sell you PPI and probably to confirm a few details, They'll also let you know your APR and possibly your credit limit.

How soon am i likely to receive the call? - Anywhere from today on wards I'd imagine.

When they call, and if i am accepted, will they be able to tell me my credit limit? - I'd of guessed so, Although I was only told my APR when they called me !

    Congrats !
  • That's excellent news, thanks very much.
