shaz - good for you for staying calm. Some people are just ridiculous and I like to keep this in mind when I seem to come across them all too often!

beachbeth - I sooo know what you mean about one person's actions spoiling your day. Sometimes all it takes for me (don't know if anyone else can relate to this?) is for me to be unsure of the meaning behind a comment someone makes and I can get really upset about it. Again, I try as much as I can to understand that my interpretation of a comment/situation is not necessarily "how it is" but it's difficult sometimes.

mezer - I went to Wagamamas when I visisted my sis in London a while ago. Had some veggie noodle soup thing which was lovely! Gald your work review went well.

LM - love hearing about happy relationship stuff! You read so much unhappy things on here that it's quite a nice 'break' to hear the nice stuff that we forget to mention sometimes.

ab - Hope you had a nice weekend away!

Had another busy day today. Just debating whether to iron DD1's school uniform or kick back and do some chilling out. I'm getting crazily into this nesting malarkey - my house might actually be organised and tidy by the time baby comes which will be a first!

Tomorrow we find out the work situation for definite for OH. We're fairly confident he should be keeping his job as they have given letters to two of his colleagues last Friday (they needed to make two out of six/seven redundant) but as it is they've cut his hours anyway. So this week will be consisting of DD1's birthday and me getting our finances shipshape as I want to keep on top of things, even more so because baby is due very soon and more than likely I'll have other things on my mind than sorting out benefit overpayments and rent!

    Night xxxx

Ab - Yes, my pressie did arrive :D. Thank you very much.:D I have a feeling Sam's dad will hog them .:rotfl: I shall be like "Mine, mine, MINE!". :rotfl:

I might leave this thread for a little while, just until everything has died down abit. Recent posts have made me feel a bit anxious so maybe taking some time out and coming back when things are calmer would be a good idea. :)

    Aww. Thank you. :)

To be honest I've had a traumatised 21 years, so something good happening to me is both a miracle and a godsend. :o

This is spot on. Its not the fact that medical things cant be discussed it is the inconsistency of the moderation.

    Morning all

It's been snowing and it looks lovely outside, a proper blanket of snow. Walking DD1 to school later, have been really organised and got up quite early today so might get there before they have to go inside for once!

Waiting for OH to call from work, they're having individual meetings first thing to confirm the job situation. Resisiting the urge to text/call as don't think it would look that good if he were in his meeting!

Today consists of catching up with housework and doing the shopping, all with the "help" of DD2 :D We may or may not go to storytime in town - have to pay for parking and we're being quite frugal with the pennies so might give it a miss as playgroup is tomorrow anyway and that's walking distance.

This evening (ah the fun!) we're sitting down and sorting out our finances given finally knowing what's going on with OH's work. I can at last (although it's only been about two weeks, it feels like months!) take a proper look at our incomings and outgoings and I think we may have to make some cutbacks. We're not extravagant by ANY means so it might just be a case of getting rid of landline which could make room for a payment on one of these outstanding benefits overpayments.

Hope everyone is well this morning - I'm going to try and stay away from the computer (being energy-copnscious and going to turn it off for once!) so hopefully will check in this evening.

Hi everyone, how are you today? I've been told by my boss not to go to work today as we have two inches of snow out there which has possibly frozen too. It's amazing to hear your boss telling you not to work! She is working from home today via mobile. It must have been hard to decide because we are carers looking after elderly people. There was one lady near me that she was worried about and asked me to try to get to but the lady's son has gone round so it's ok. I've got to keep my phone on in case there are any emergencies.
    So, a day off!! :j :j

Keep safe, keep warm, don't go out unless you absolutely have to and if you do go out be careful!
Have got the news on and it looks like chaos out there!
