:rotfl:welcome to the thread!
Near the start of my relationship I decided to tell my bf about my depression. I didn't want to get into a relationship, and be hiding the real me, because then my bf wouldn't like the "real" me only the "put on a happy face" me, and I felt like I would be lying to him. It scared the hell out of me telling him, but it was a huge weight off my shoulders once I'd done it.
If your partner is as nice as he sounds, I'm sure he would understand and be more than willing to help you through life, and not "freak" cos if he did then I'm sure that's not the sort of person you'd really want to spend your time with!
Enjoy your night, and feel free to post as much/little as you want on here, but since you've been lurking I'm sure you've noticed that already!
Take care xx
Thankyou
I'm just not ready to open up,he met the "funny me " not the "depressed me"
it does come out sometimes but i think he just thinks i'm abit stressed with the kids etc..i see him twice aweek,3 at the very most(3 is definetly 2 much for me)..i do think about opening up but just not yet x0 -

welcome to the thread, skintsinglemum., i'm with la-cara, and would tell him.
i have been with my bf since last september, and when i finally told him, and it wasn't easy, i feared rejection too, as he had met the happy me, but he was a real sweetheart, and was very understanding, it turned out he had suffered from it in the past too.
nowadays we tend to go out on average once a week, rarely twice, and have one maybe 2 evenings in a week, and while i make an effort when we go out, i love been comfy in my pj's on an evening, and we order takeaway, bliss, no cooking, and we get to spend quality time, without it being spoiled by stress.
enjoy your evening
hugs

I have told him about my Anxiety and i told him about my panic attacks,i had to tell him about panic attack because when i get them there quite severe and what if i had one while i was with him ??
I don't think people understand about depression,i have come across alot of people who have the" pull yourself together" or the "you've got 4 lovely kids, why u deppressed" attitude or they think yr lazy and so on.
I think he's got enough with the 4 kids,a crazy stalking ex,Anxiety & the panic attacks for the moment lol0 -

Welcome to the thread skintsinglemum.
I'm Anni (or as my boyfriend calls me "Mousey":rotfl:)
I trust that you will find alot of support here. We're a lovely bunch....we're not coconuts though. They're too knobbly. Everyone here are like unique blossoming flowers.(I'm not sure if I should have said "is" instead of "are". Hm. Not a good error to make for someone who is a "grammar nazi" as my friends so kindly pointed out.. :rotfl:)
Me? I'm not sure what I am. A midget maybe? No. I'm not a midget...I'm fun sized....and pocket sized. I'm so small I only need to live on crumbs that lie in the depths of jean pockets. :rotfl:
Please don't ask me what I'm on tonight.
I'm moving tomorrow so am slightly excited and hyper with a dash of nervousness! :rotfl:

I think maybe you should have said is, since everyone is singular? I too am a grammar nazi! :rotfl:
