My ISA funds left Nationwide on 22nd June, and still no sign of them in Natwest, which is so disconcerting... I don't want my money getting lost! I started this whole process off on 6th April, and it's going to have taken 3 months to sort it... thats a whole quarter's worth of interest!

Hope you're sorted now... you will feel much better about everything when your money makes it into the NatWest account!

How long does is take for money to appear in the Natwest ISA once it has left your original ISA?

Mine has left my RBS ISA today. Started process on April 6th. They said they never received my transfer form, even though I put it in the same envelope as the ISA application form, which they opened no problem . Wasted 3 weeks because I could not get to branch with second transfer form due to job. Handed second form in about 5 weeks ago and finally the money is now moving :T

Since RBS and Natwest are the same bank I'm hoping this saga will be over soon..

Don't know whether the fact that NatWest and RBS are part of the same group will make any difference, probably not! This process is not exactly efficient at the best of times it seems...

Not sure who holds the record for least amount of time the money is in limbo between banks. For me it was 7 working days from HSBC (plus a weekend).

I took my forms into my local branch on May 18th for two transfers from Barclays and Bradford and Bingley.

By June 20th the Barclays money was in.

On 1st July still no funds from Bradford and Bingley so I phoned Natwest. They stated they would look into it but advised I phoned B/B.

They said they never got the transfer request form!!

On Saturday morning I got a letter from Natwest saying they have re sent all the paper work and will keep on top of things adding that once money is in my account interest will be back dated.

I was very pleased with this as I never made a fuss and was just checking on what was happening. Good work Natwest.

I received a letter from Britannia Building Society dated last Wednesday saying that my ISA has been transferred to Natwest. The money hasn't appeared in my eISA yet, almost a week later.

I also sent a request to move another ISA from Barclays to my eISA at the same time. I've heard nothing on this, even though transfers between banks are supposed to be quicker than between building societies and banks.

Why are they supposed to be quicker? The paperwork is identical. A couple of banks now send the transfers electronically, meaning it takes 3 days, but the funds arrive already cleared, but the rest still send a cheque through the post taking 1-2 days plus another 2 days to start earning interest. In my experience, banks are slower through general lack of efficiency.

The latest with me (ref post on 8th July) is that the Natwest have sent my transfer form and follow up letter to the wrong Bradford and Bingley address!!

Gave them the correct address yesterday so I hope things will move by the end of the month. As stated before interest to be back dated so no harm done.

Glad to hear that - interested to know if all goes through OK.

Unfortunately I was never compensated (there was no suggestion of compensation) when they lost my 1st transfer request - there was just no record of it anywhere! Three months lost in total, with having to get a duplicate reinstatement certificate from FSCS (Icesave). The 2nd transfer request took just 3 working days.
