Nearly as bed - new property details from the estate agent who sold me the house I move into next week :)
  • Question - if you are claiming, how do you prove when it arrived? Obviously it is stamped when it is sent, but how do they know when you got it?

I don't really think there is a way...
  • I got approx 20 letters on sat but all the pre paid envelopes with no stamps had no post mark.
Is this normal or have they not done them to save time?
Dont normally look so not sure.
Also, can you claim direct from p/o or sorting office?
  • why did the strike start- interestingly no causes mentioned by royal mail in their press draft. whilst i don't agree with unofficial strikes royal mail doesn't particularly have a good record on employee relations. my local sorting office has been on strike several times in the last several years usually because management did not consult union at all over changes to working conditions, employment of casual workers etc. i used to know someone who worked for royal mail hr and even he agreed their behaviour was dreadful.

We noticed the lack of franking also.... if nothing else, you can then reuse the stamps
    2 + 2 = 4
except for the general public when it can mean whatever they want it to.
