NIPSA donated £20,000 to the "cause"
Thanks artofdookie! I suppose that will keep them going for a while! It would be so nice if they weren't getting a penny! Now they can strike and at least they know that they are not out of pocket! :(

No doubt proposed and heavily backed by that leftie John Corey. Maybe NIPSA members will vote with their feet on this news, just on the back of his failed attempt to get Civil Servants to go on an all-out strike. "Wot a Plonker!"

Had to contact Co-op Bank this morning as my visa payment, posted on 7th February hadn't arrived with them (I checked on-line). They are treating with sympathy and allowing extra time for payment to arrive. Thought post on 7th/8th across water would have made it before problem escalated, but apparently not.

So if you have any payments in transit I suggest you check for safe delivery.

    2 + 2 = 4

They don't get paid while they're on strike.
Another union NIPSA has donated £20,000 to a hardship fund out of which
monies can be doled out to striking postal staff.

Anyone know if it is possible to claim compensation for losses due to the postal strike? I think I heard something but not sure where.

I have heard that if you own a business and it suffers because of the strike you can claim. I think it is if you are waiting for a cheque and go overdrawn etc. Not sure who you need to contact though (royal mail obviously.)
