Is Orange scamming us?

Still no online bill nor my balance minutes updated. My billing date is 15th of every month.
Has anyone recently got their online bill?.0 -
18 days now, and i cant find out my minites with orange. Emailed twice and phoned customer service, they say the same thing, theres a technical fault and the engineers are sorting it out.
The customer service women told me that the service to find out your minutes is provided by orange as a good will gesture, and it is the customer responsibilty to set their own call timers on their phone.   This company is crazy, wish i stuck to the three network0 -

Same response I got ...... They describe it as a 'free' service .... Yeah Yeah you're providing a vital service that we were sold during our sign up, out of the goodness of you heart
They must think we are stupid :wall: .... so who exactly pays for the so called 'free' service? Starts with U and ends in S!
Anyone got any contacts in other mobile operators? Perhaps they could make some commercial mileage out of this fisaco and more importantly shoddy service.

However frustrating, it is a temporary problem, and very likely if you go over by a few minutes you can negotiate a refund. But if you set out to abuse it and deliberately go over the top, then a full refund is unlikely.
When O2 had some billing problems on system update a year or two back, they goodwill refunded all customers0 -

Your pro Orange stance suggests some affiliation, which is fine as long as you declare it. If orange customers could get assurance from customer service that we would not be charged for minutes over our inclusive quota then that would go a long way to alleviating customers concerns. CS are not offering any assistance other than, as previously mentioned 'we are normally doing you a favour by telling you how many minutes you have used'
Could you imagine Ford producing a batch of cars with a faulty petrol gauge and telling people that no where on their promotion literature do we specify a working petrol gauge therefore we provide it 'free' and if you want to know how many miles you have left per tank of fuel, THEN WORK IT OUT YOURSELF!redux wrote:Perhaps the advertising rules prevent this.
Perhaps not! - As an advocate of consumer power, I'm sure Martin would not implement rules which prevent competitors being made aware of their rivals shortcomings. If the other networks have a better service, I for one want to know about it.

I just checked online and it's working.. with 40mins left as of 9.45pm today..
Tried 150 and it's not working!
Surely it's not that hard to regulate yourself? you just need to reset your call duration log on your billing date??Official DFW Nerd Club - Member no. 092

There are rules to set the standard of what is allowed in advertising. Would you expect to see a car ad on the TV from Ford that told you all Vauxhalls were rubbish? You seem to be hoping for some network to do that about Orange. It won't happen because there are rules against it and Martin Lewis is not likely to overturn them0
