Hi Guys, I'm sure one of you experts will be able to help me. I have a silver ring which is reallt tranished and dull. I always used to just pop it into a tub of that Silver Dip stuff and then it came out lovely and shiny.
I can't afford to buy this anymore, so is there something else I can use to clean the silver ring??
Thanks guys0 -
It's not tranished, sorry, it's tarnished.... tranished is probably something completely different !!! oops0

Washing soda and aluminium foil does the same job as silver dip.

Hi!
I don't wear any rings myself but my mother in law says she cleans hers but putting really hot water in a bowl and mixing a 1 spoon of salt and 1 spoon of baking powder. She just mixes it and dips it in, and wioes with a soft cloth.
I hope this helps! We’re separate, two ghosts in one mirror, no nearer

I have some earrings that tarnish - I use a plain old kleenex style tissue, and rub hard! Works a treat.I believe in the freedom of spinach and the right to arm bears.

I clean my wedding photo frame with toothpaste. Just rub it in with a duster or other soft cloth. If the ring is not flat edged maybe you could use a soft toothbrush to get it into the bits you cannot reach and then rinse it off.0

I use toothpaste and an old toothbrush to get into any nooks and crannies. Brings silver up a treat and smells nice to boot!0
