Hi I did a thread search and nothing came up so I do apologize if this is a dupe.

I've got a silver chain that needs cleaning I have jewellery but its for gold and diamond and don't really want to clean it in that. Plus its quiet old. At £7ish a pop I don't really want to be buying new one as its getting to that time of year where there is a few birthdays and Christmas and im trying to save money. Has anyone got any tips? Its 925 so I think that's sterling silver.
    Any advice is much apreciated:o
it might not be much, but its better than a kick in the teeth:rotfl:

  • Put it in a pan of boiling water with some scrunched up aluminium foil in it. It will clean itself in a few minutes.
  • take silver paper or foil and place in a bowl/jar put in some salt then fill with water. put in item for a few mins then wipe clean. ???
does my bum look big in this sig?

You need foil, salt, bicarb and hot water - see link. I tried this and it works!
