getting a refund from Ryanair or the credit card company?

    Hi,
I suspect this an old issue, I am unable due to work commitments to make a flight to dublin, in 2 months time. I understand that Ryanair won't give refunds, apart from tax. I purchased my flight using my credit card, will I be able to claim my money back using section 75?

    cheers

    Patrick

Why would expect to obtain a refund from your credit card company?

At long last I have bought a small wheeled suitcase that fits the Ryan Air measurement rack with ease even after packing with 9.5k of clobber - EASIPAK - it has four straps that you can pull tight and a roomy front pocket. Both sides of the case have a zipper compartment. Bought from Fenwicks, not cheap reduced to £58 but money well spent.Quite a few people asked me where I had bought it from. Last week the boarding gate staff were stopping people proceeding further with cases that were obviously far in excess of the measurements and people were hastily thowing on heaps of clothes and juggling the contents between family members bags - they really are clamping down.

No. You agreed to the terms and conditions of the ticket upon booking, of which the non-refundable part was an element. Ryanair openly state this on their website, and as such, the fact that you cannot abide with their terms and conditions is enough to rule out using that.

If you want to have flexibility to cancel in future, I'm sure Aer Lingus would be happy to sell you a fully flexible fare for ten times the amount paid for Ryanair :)

Was it really necessary to add the final sentence?

The OP asked a simple question, he wasn't railing at how Ryanair 'rip' people off or 'scam' them.

    Hi,

Am flying Ryan Air next Tuesday, i've printed off my boarding pass but on them it states 1 Cabin Bag Only but we've each paid for 1 piece of hold luggage. Plus looking on the site it would appear that we cant check in online as we have hold luggage. I'm confused.....please help.... (I tried ringing Ryanair but still dont get it). We're flying from Tees Valley.

    Just found my own answer/

Travelling with 1 Checked Bag (Per person) - Online Check-In
Travelling with 2 Checked Bags (Per Person) - Online Check-In
Travelling with 3 Checked Bags (Per Person) - Online Check-In
    • If you are traveling with 1, 2 or 3 checked bags per person you will be required to pay the applicable online check-in and checked baggage fee(s) at the time of booking. Passengers must check- in online and print their boarding passes between 15 days prior up to 4 hours before the scheduled flight departure time. At the airport, checked baggage should be taken to the Bag Drop desk to be tagged and sent to the aircraft. All non EU/EEA passengers must go to the Document/Visa Check Desk to get their online boarding pass checked and stamped before going through airport security.

Can someone just confirm to me issues I have surrounding checking in. I booked flight back in Feb (Birmingham to Reus June 3rd) and paid for airport check in as we're taking one checked in baggage item with us, so had no choice but to do this. Now there's a little confusion with the fazing out of airport check in.

    1) Can I carry on to airport and everything will be ok as I've paid for airport check in?

    2) On checking my flight online with Ryanair it seems to be giving me the option of on line check in. Can I do this as I've paid for airport check in, and will it cost me anything and would I gain anything from doing it?

    Regards
