last friday i flew to sweden with ryanair for a weekend away for my birthday
we flew to skavsta airport and got a coach to stockholm about 80mins away- i know people moan that ryanairs airports tend to be miles away from where they are advertised but when going on a package holiday you usually need to get transfers from the airport to your hotel.
people whinge that ryanair charge for everything and while this is true if you work out the cost and its still cheaper what is the issue- we got our return flights for £43 each, including everything, i doubt i could have got it that cheap with another airline, thats the same as a night out!
so i for one actually quite like ryanair as without them i wouldnt have been able to afford a weekend away (and this was not the first time i have used them for cheap breaks)The only thing worse than being talked about is not being talked about - Oscar Wilde:beer:

As far as I recall, Ryanair are actually quite good about very minor name changes - such as changing Jenny to Jennifer.
It only ends up at 50 pounds because you take all the optional extras. If it says that the flight is 1 pound, it'll be 1 pound - unless you choose to select all the optional extras. In which case, you can't blame Ryanair - they're offering you the seat for 1 pound, are they not?
Why don't you ask online retailers that question? Amazon were a terrible company for imposing ridiculous delivery charges, for instance.
I'm able to understand a simple website. Idiots aren't.
I totally agree with PolishBigSpender, i have said things on another Ryanair thread about people being too thick to understand Ryanair's website, don't like it? don't fly with them then.
Again this morning i bought another flight with them for £16 return to Krakow again a bargain. I would much rather go there than stay in the town where i live and be free fron cctv cameras everywhere and actually light a cig at a bar.
Allegedly Poland is behind us in the worlds economic league, but in my opinion light years ahead in prices for beer fags and most of all excellent customer service, i have witnessed it and i am not a British p@@@ head but i like to go where the locals go. Not the Red Lion or some Irish bar.0 -
There is no 'rip off' - this is as per the T&Cs of the ticket. If you feel this is a 'rip off' then I guess you'd be more than happy with all economy flights being fully flexible and costing several hundred pounds?
Of course I wouldn't but to two students 100 pounds is a lot of money and I personally did think he was being ripped off but thats just my phrasing. I was only asking for some helpful suggestions.0 -
I travelled by Ryanair last week. I was almost the last passenger to join the plane - I can't see the point of standing for ages in a line when you can sit in the airport, walk straight on and then sit down again.
Anyway a party of four joined after me, and the teamleader, a hefty lass of some 20 stone, then made loud noises about not being able sit with her chums and having to sit in the available middle seats. The cabin-crew were very diplomatic and mentioned about priority boarding etc. This was news to the team-leader but she loudly pointed that she was a travel-agent and would not recommend Ryanair to any clients. There were quite a few guffaws from the other passengers at this revelation as Ryanair don't use travel agents.
Once the plane took off, the team-leader and her chums were moved to the seats at the front which had been barred to other passengers as they entered the plane. This was a mixed feeling from me. The bad side was that a loud boor had been given a better seat than they deserved merely by whinging and not following the basic rules, but this was more than outweighed by the good aspect that she was moved from the middle seat next to me and at least I had room to breathe for the two hour flight!

If it was such a significant amount of money, he should've investigated alternatives before blindly paying it. Given that Ryanair's average fare must be below 100 pounds - why on earth would you bother?
I've just checked, and a flight from my local airport to Barcelona, flying tomorrow is 300PLN after taxes. That's about 60 pounds. From Poland...with love.

I thought it had been discussed on here that Ryanair will not charge a check in fee on promotional fares, but when I try and book a flight that is £0.00, its adds £20 online check in fee for 2 pax return.
If zero is not a promotional fare, what is?0 -
Because the £0.00 flight you are trying to book is a "Regular Fare", which is why it says "Regular Fare" on the booking page, rather than a promotion £0.00 fare, when it would say "Free Check In".
Promotional Fares are the ones that they have advertised in the newspapers for (like the current offer) £4, and have to sell them inclusive of all charges for £4.
Anyway you won't pay £0.00, even without the online check in fee, as since it is a "Regular Fare" you will be paying taxes and charges on top.0 -
Heres my query, we booked our flight back in December 2008 and are travelling in July, there are 5 of us and we paid £50 for airport check in return and £40 for 2 hold bags return. Has airport check in prices gone up twice in this time? Would I be right in saying that there is no moneysaving to be made if we changed this to the new online check in procedure? I also presume that if we arrive at the airport with our original booking form we wouldn't be charged extra as we made the booking prior to the new rules on online check in.
If someone would be good enough to confirm the above, I'd be much obliged.Penny xxx

getting a refund from Ryanair or the credit card company?
Hi,
I suspect this an old issue, I am unable due to work commitments to make a flight to dublin, in 2 months time. I understand that Ryanair won't give refunds, apart from tax. I purchased my flight using my credit card, will I be able to claim my money back using section 75?
cheers
