thank you mudbath - i have to be so careful I dont miss your posts!!!!
And now stripes is looking at me as though I have two heads because I'm laughing out loud!! By the way....Stripes is very nesh, she's standing next to a radiator and leaning on it! She really hates the cold!! Stripes sends special spotty licks to you xx0 -
Toots - I have now completed three out of three lists this week.:D
Much faster for having deep cleaned last week and spending a few minutes putting away in each room every day.
I have also borrowed your pro-crastination list idea with a view to clearing at least three items each week. Just off to get my hair cut now, a hated task. Debating cutting off my long bad condition wavy hair and going for something a bit shorter and more professional. 15 mins to decide....:o'If you have a garden and a library, you have everything you need' Marcus Tullius Cicero0 -
I do the vinegar thing on my taps - but I soak old socks in the vinegar then put them right over the taps - saves trying to get the cloth to stay on. I only wrap them in clingfilm to try and stop some of the smell......I hate vinegar!

thought I would share this email I have just received!
Many of you struggle with disorganization as I do.
Remember I am in nervous remission. But in that
nervousness, I don't let my messy tendencies get
out of hand. In other words my home is never more
than 15 minutes to company ready (and that is for
the whole house).
When every room is HOURS away from "company" and I
HAVE BEEN THERE, we can easily become overwhelmed
and in that state of mind we freeze, bust out of
the place or retreat under the covers. All those
actions make things worse.
I have thought a lot about that feeling of being
overwhelmed and I know it is a state of mind based
on true facts and circumstances. But the good news
is states of minds can be changed even when the true
facts and circumstances haven't. In fact if you
are overwhelmed by a messy house, obesity, indebtedness,
an inharmonious marriage, whatever, you have the power
to change your mind right
now and decide to not be overwhelmed. In fact that is
the best place to start!
In the olden days in small villages, there used to be a
town crier and each night he’d cry out: "It's ten PM and
all is well." How comforting to hear those words! We
can use those words on ourselves. Look at the time
right now and say to yourself: "It's (say the time) and
all is well."
The reason behind wanting to be organized is that we want
peace. We know that in that peace we can be more loving
and more joyful, but guess what! Peace, love and joy are
states of mind and they can be had regardless of our cir-
cumstances. Seek those states of mind and you will be
amazed at how much easier getting organized will be.
All is well.Peace will be mine

Dont cut it ALL off - always keep it long enough to tie back in a pony tail. That way youstill have a quick and easy solution when you dont have time to actually do your hair!! You can just scrape it back in a ponytail! xxSometimes lurking, sometimes posting, but always flying

Jo - great idea about the socks. And you're welcome to contribute ideas to the 'keep mudbath busy and out of her squirrel costume' campaign!
hex - if you trust your hairdresser, go for it. Short hair is less hassle, and unless you have obedient hair, looks more professional... I also found that it made me look younger tooETA - I disagree with both Jo & toots... you can always grow it back if you don't like it, but there's no point in being tentative about it. If you're going to do it, make it a life-changing (well, image-changing!) cut. And DON'T have it long enough to tie back, or you'll do just that and then you might as well have left it long!
