I have had lunch, made the bed and snoozed a bit. Planning to chill whilst watching diagnosis murder and then watch a film i've got on the sky box. Am craving chocolate but as I've not lost weight for a while i'm trying to resist!

Thankfully the bits that haven't been cleaned so far this week (i.e. lounge and bedroom) are looking fine.

  • No you don't, mine isn't, its very effective it kills all those nasties. A basic model will do, just make sure you have a switch to control the steam, otherwise yu can't keep up with it. Yu will save money anyway as you won't need all those cleaning chemicals and it does soooo many jobs:D
Thanks. The info I found suggested you needed the vac bit to stop the mattress getting damp.
Found this one on amazon. (if it works) Now that price I could consider.

Yes!!! I can do fancy links :j:j:j

    Afternoon all :hello:

Likklegibbon: I can't even install the OU software on my desktop computer as it doesn't like it. Thats why I got a laptop purely for OU work. Hope you manage to get it sorted soon.

Another early start here today, DD woke up at 5am crying in pain (the crying probably didn't help) and she's broken out in a rash so I marched her to the doctors for opening time (on the bus most of the way ;) ) and the doctor has took a swab, checked her over and the rash, said he can't tell for sure whether it was viral or not, and given her a course of penicillin to see if that will help clear it up since she's now had it for a week. :j He also questioned her previous treatment at the hospital and fully understands why I took her to see him instead of back to the hospital. ;) I need to phone on Monday to get the swab results but hopefully by then she should be much better. Also took her to school and got her some work to do, as she doesn't seem as ill when she's distracted. ;)

Monday - Kitchen and Dining room
    Level One
    Wash out bins
    Level Two
    Sweep and mop floors
Clear and wipe table.. add a clean cloth if necessary!
    Level Three
    Wash windows
Tuesday - Living room, hall and stairs!
    Level Two
    vacuum/mop the floors!
    Wash windows
Vacuum under furniture you can move..
Wednesday - Master messroom and landing
    Level One
    Vacuum
    Level Two
    wash windows
    Level Three
    15 minutes filing!!
Empty bins in the upstairs of the house!
wash paintwork on the landing.. don't forget sockets and switches.. make su re they are not turned on first!

Right, I'm going to make some lunch. then work out when I can give DD her next dose of medicines... and I might actually get to look at my OU text book today

ETA : DD is eating very soft breadroll but only because she turning it virtually into breadcrumbs  Better than nothing though :D:j Will whip the vacuum out later. and do the whole of downstairs as it will need it ;)

Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!
  • Just a thought - could you contact the OU computer helpdesk?

Already gave that a go Crafty but I'd already tried all of the things that they suggested.

On the plus side I have got some Spanish colleagues so I think I'll be plying them with lots of coffee and cake for conversation practice!

It's really quiet here at work - maybe I can find a cosy corner somewhere and do some crafty homework :D

There are a lot of completed lists flying about - looks like Pigpen's cunning plan works!

ETA - Nicki, glad I'm not the only one (but not, IYKWIM) - I was beginning to feel paranoid
    I'd rather be watching CSI!

  • OK - if I post it I will have to do it.
    Phone cc company
    Phone NORCAP
Phone electrician - need my doorbell sorted
    It works!

    I've hoovered and moped downstairs.
Rang scalextric to order a spare part.

Nearly school run time but 10 minutes to use productively upstairs.

Steam cleaners are on special at Lidl from tomorrow but I know nothing about them so not sure if this is good on not.

  • Just seen your weightloss since beginning of Jan Rach - that's some going - well done :T :j - are you doing it on your own or have you joined a slimming club?

    Hope you're feeling better
