Aw thanks toots!! Yes I am really pleased with myself so far
- it wont last so am taking full advantage while im on a high - am so glad I found this thread! Motivating myself for housework has been a real struggle for me and never felt I was able to catch up.
I was hit by a car a while ago and ended up off work for nearly a month. So housework fell really behind and then it was Christmas (which I went to my parents for) so I was concentrating on that trip and everything just fell further and further behind. Ive kept on top of the dailies (just!) except the ironing. I had a cleaning-attack at the weekend and gutted the kitchen and tackled the ironing on the snow days. I needed someone to kick me up the backside and tell me what to do with the rest of the house though.
This thread has done just that! :T
Carsberggal - I know im new'n'all, but i didnt see anything that youve posted as offensive......hope your ok.

Hello all,
I'm home as not feeling well
Woke up with sore throat, glands a bit up and aching all over, but because the group was so early in the morning didn't really think about cancelling. Anyway, I went, did it, the walk didn't do me any harm and we had 3 new people. this week was the last week i do my input so was glad i didn't miss it. However, as soon as it all finished my adrenalin stopped and I started to feel awful so phoned my boss and am taking this aft (and poss tomorrow, will see how I am) off sick. I'm sure with a bit of tlc and some rest and hot lemon I'll start to feel better. I wasn't 100% at the weekend now I think about it! So I probably won't fly much though I'll stick a load of washing on, need to make the bed too as DH didn't do it. lunch is the next thing though - soup i think.
re the NHS thing, I got a letter from my solicitor the other week (ongoing court thing after someone reversed into my parked car but is denying it despite witnesses...) and there were loads of spelling and grammatical errors in it (one of my pet hates!). Doesn't inspire confidence!
gertie - DH did our glass oven door the other week and said elbow grease was the only way to get it clean!
carlsberg - i didn't notice a dodgy post from you. don't leave us. we all put things we regret sometimes, part of feeling so at home here.
lilysue - don't worry about not keeping up with the thread, lots of people don't have time. I only have time after work because DH is studying every evening at the moment so I like to catch up as it stops me feeling lonely!
mozzy -i don't turn & hoover the mattress every timeprobably every other time. I also don't always change the sheets every single week in the winter, bad flylady!

mudbath what are you studying? and have you got an exam coming ans is that why you are stressed??
toots xx
I was stressed because I had to sort out a million pages of course notes and start writing up my reports. Once I started it wasn't that bad and i'm enjoying. Also, they've given me a 6 month extension to do one more course due to my op and breaking my wrist so I'm just doing an hour a day now and enjoying it. It's my hospice care course. Thanks for being concerned but i'm allnow!

You can run but you can't hide!! :rotfl: :rotfl:Mudbath - you obviously STILL don't have enough to do. If Toots doesn't have any extra jobs for you, I suggest you descale all your taps - soak cloths in vinegar and wrap them round the taps. Cover in plastic/cling film and tie on with string/elasctic bands. Leave for as long as possible. You can descale the shower head while you're at it.
Oh yes... and ebay the squirrel suit. You'll frighten stripes!
Job done! And stripes wants to be a squirrel when she grows up!
Okay im a little late on this weeks thread.......but in my defence I am MALE
Sorry but that had me in stitches!! :rotfl: :rotfl:carlsberggal wrote: »RIGHT, I'VE GIVEN MYSELF A STERN TALKING TO - I DIDN'T POST YESTERDAY INTENTIONALLY TO UPSET ANYONE - SO I'VE GOT TO STOP BEATING MYSELF UP. I'm glad you're not leaving us. You don't escape that easily!!!
Rach - hope you're feeling better soon.
Dusty - if you keep your receipt nintendo give a years warantee on DSs. My son broke his and they sent a prepaid envelope and we had it back in about three weeks. Really good service!
Jo - hope the afternoon goes quickly for you so you can get home and complete your list!!
Right, i'm off to make the bed and do some studying. Life is just too much fun in this house! What i'm really going to do is eat chocolate and watch tv - I wish!!!0
