Lydia: I was surprised to see your entry at 6am! Thought it was a bit eager! If you're not already, try and register on the SW website for updated syns and a bit more motivation when you're feeling hungry. Thanks to the kind people who post the group passwords each week the site is free to access and i'm utterly chuffed with my progress chart (you log your weight each week and it creates a little graph to show your weight loss) as it's got a nice downwards slope that i want to continue! Lots of luck

    I wouldn't say eager, couldn't sleep!!! :o
Had been rolling around, disturbing OH so thought i had best get up, and have a fix of MSE.
Thank-you for the advice. Will have a look through some of the earlier posts and check out SW.

Tomorrow is weigh in day for me

Think i need to menu plan/write everything down........oh dear, this sounds like being organised........always my downfall. :o

Well, I'm still at the same weight for the last couple of weeks. I only have to lose a total of 19 lbs and in 4 weeks I lost 8 1/2 so I suppose it will be slow from now on. Never mind, I haven't put anything on.
Cheekymole, you sent me a super pm outlining the difference between green days and original ones and I found that so helpful. Would it be a good idea to put it on here for those who are only doing the weight loss online if you have a moment?

    Thanks Cheekymole

Well i braved the dreaded scales.....17.2 this morning. So a 3lb loss.
I'm really happy with that. :D

I met a friend for lunch yesterday and had chips and 2 pints in the pub yesterday. Which i expect will catch up with later this week weight wise.

I'm just so happy that i have gone down, and not up. I can't afford to buy any clothes at the mo, and clothes shopping is so depressing anyway. :o

My OH cooked me beans on toast for breakfast today - yummy. So looks like a green one for me today. Gonna clean our bedroom to keep busy this morning. Usual trick of trying to change bed covers with cat trying to sleep on top of bed......... :rotfl:

    Have a nice weekend everyone.

One of the regular Dr's wanted a pic for the waiting room wall, of someone having their blood pressure taken.
I got roped in and mine was sky high!!!!!!!!! They then proceeded to weigh me, measure me and take one of those puffy thing readings.
Well I'm a ton overweight, 2 foot short and have the puff of an 85yr old. I'm really feeling sorry for myself now.
Hasn't made me want to eat or stop dieting thankfully.
I wouldn't mind, but take my BP at home a couple of times a week, so know its not normally high.
Don't panic! You've heard about White Coat Syndrome, haven't you? BP is ALWAYS higher at the surgery or in hospital than at home, and usually higher if taken by a doctor than by a nurse. Of course it could be either your machine or their machine not being accurate: I've taken mine in to the surgery so that they can be compared (and mine was fine, even though my BP is usually fine at home and not there!)

Anyway there's an old thread over on the Health Board about Blood Pressure (I know, I started it!) if you want to get some more links and tips about things that might help keep it down. Definitely worth visiting if they're threatening to medicate you!

I put on this week :o - I could blame the depression and the cough / cold / sore throat I've had which all make me very lethargic. Oh, and the cold weather! Just want to hibernate. Hope the sun will shine next week, that definitely helps me (and I am taking the Vitamin D Ted's been recommending but it doesn't seem to have done much for me so far!)

Hi Betty, good to have you back with us. If you want to copy and paste the green/red info, then please feel free or let me know if you want me to do it.

Lydia, well done on you 3lb loss, just make sure you are having the right bread otherwise you could regret it!!

Savvy_Sue, I know what you mean about the weather, my OH is always telling me I have SAD so roll on spring (or my hols in Tenerife!). Hope you're feeling better soon.

Here's what Betty is talking about, just a quick explanation of green and red days at slimming world

The difference between green and red is that on green you can eat as much pasta, rice, potatoes veg etc as you want but on the red you can eat meat as much as you want, you can still eat veg but potatoes you would have to count as healthy extras.
You are allowed 2 xa healthy extras and 2 xb healthy extras in a day but it depends on green/red day as to waht you can have. I can't comment on the red day as I've never done one but I find that I'm never hungry on a green day. I suppose it all depends on what you prefer to eat.
