Good morning guys. :j
Well done everyone on the weight loss and support for each other.
Good luck with the interviews too.
I tried to join the last one of these threads.........got distracted, worked loads, ate more, the weeks flashed by, and now it is nearly the end of March and i weigh even more than i did after xmas.
I would like to join properly this time, if you will have me back.
Weighed myself on Saturday and found i was 17.5 stone
Just 3lb off the heaviest i have ever been
There i have written it for everyone to see. Used to hide it, and hope it would go away. Hasn't worked!!!
Unfortunately due to debts, i am not able to afford to go to class, but with your help, i would like to use my old SW books to get me started. I thought i would try to weigh myself on Saturday mornings. In the past i have started my diets Monday (who hasn't). I'm hoping that if i weigh on Sat mornings, it will give me the motivation to be good over the weekend - my worst time for pigging out and drinking!!!
Anyway, this week has been a bit hit and miss - only found my old SW books yesterday. Want to read up on this thread, and the books tonight - OH works shifts, so wont be back until nearly 1am Sat morning  Still at least if i have a quiet one tonight on my own I wont be drinking!!!
Good luck everyone, and roll on Sat morning, when i will find out how this week went, and i can really start in earnest.
LWhat's he building in there???
Debt at highest £30,450 (Dec 05)
Debt at lowest £9, 113 (Jul 07)
How much did we over spend whilst on maternity leave :mad:0 -
Cots: that's a great idea to label all your food with syns! Much better than my usual habit of 'using up all the junk' before i start to diet thus leaving me with even more to lose! Shame about the pudding night. Maybe when you feel a bit stronger willed you can go and take a couple of low syn puds with you and sit smug in the knowledge that you're losing weight by not succuming to the naughty ones!
Lydia: I was surprised to see your entry at 6am! Thought it was a bit eager! If you're not already, try and register on the SW website for updated syns and a bit more motivation when you're feeling hungry. Thanks to the kind people who post the group passwords each week the site is free to access and i'm utterly chuffed with my progress chart (you log your weight each week and it creates a little graph to show your weight loss) as it's got a nice downwards slope that i want to continue! Lots of luck :grouphug:
Edited to add: I've just noticed that this :grouphug: smiley is described as 'group hug' but if you hover your cursor over the actual icon it says 3some! how naughty.0 -
 naughty smilie ... :grouphug: it used to be called 'group hug'!!! oh! just checked and it still is .... but nice little secret find Jen :rotfl:
Ok .... weighed in just now and it seems I have put on 1lbnever mind ... just means I will have to try harder next week ... or ... my body is unwilling to let go and will have to give in that little bit more next week! Thought it would be easier to adjust to Friday weigh ins, but it feels odd ..... so, will be going back to my usual Sunday weigh in which feels alot better! Will see if that 1lbs is still there then
I can say whatever I like here ... 'cos no one can see me .. ner ner ner ner ner !!!....How do you know I ain't sitting here butt naked?!?!I thunk I've made you think for a minute!:j :rotfl: :j0 -
Good Morning from a bitterly cold and very busy Cheltenham. This post is not on topic. There was a guy here the other day who bet 85,000.oo and lost..the bookies always come out on top. I get sooooo frustrated, I just want to ask them to give me some of their spare cash to help get my daughter through Uni (she wants to be a doctor) and not waste it on the horses. She's a better bet as she might save their life one day! Aggggghhhhh!!!!Aggghhhhhhh!! Aggghhhhhh! Sorry ....I feel better now.
Welcome to Lydia - We've probably got about the same amount to lose so I will keep my eyes open for your posts. Well done for putting it there in B & W that's the first step in the right direction.
Ally - I'm sure that with 2 good days that horrid pound will be gone. Good luck.0 -
I'm a bit low today, not with the dieting.......................I'm enjoying that at the moment!
Went to a health day yesterday at my local GP surgery, to promote a health support group I run at the local hospital.
One of the regular Dr's wanted a pic for the waiting room wall, of someone having their blood pressure taken.
I got roped in and mine was sky high!!!!!!!!! They then proceeded to weigh me, measure me and take one of those puffy thing readings.
Well I'm a ton overweight, 2 foot short and have the puff of an 85yr old. I'm really feeling sorry for myself now.
Hasn't made me want to eat or stop dieting thankfully.
I wouldn't mind, but take my BP at home a couple of times a week, so know its not normally high.
Had a massage and an Indian head massage and forgot to promote my own group in the end.
LLWe are all in the gutter but some of us are looking at the stars........................0 -

I agree with Ally - Our SW consultant brought in 2lb of fat - it wasn't pretty - a big yellow wobbly thing! - and I always use this to visualise the weight I've lost (or put on  ). I've lost 5 of them! :A and you have lost 7 - thats some yellow wobbly stuff - Well Done!
Here's a picture of 5lb of fat - HERE0 -
Thankyou both for your kind words you have cheered me up
I have added that link to my favourites so when im feeling down i can just look at it:D0 -

Sorry I've not been around this week but felt a bit flat after my weigh-in, back on track now though.
My consultant suggest that I am aiming for a unreal target weight so I've decided to change it and now only need to lose 7lbs before 15th April :j
Good luck to all for next week and
Keren, well done for avoiding those cakes :TI haven't got one!0
