I dont know where to start with all the different slimming clubs, but there is loads i can cut back on, alcohol an takeaway night once a week!! for a start, and just eat more healthy food, an see what happens after a couple of weeks.
Thanx for the warning, I will do 10-15 mins on my bike each morning, then gradually up it as i start shedding the lb's.
Might be one of those silly diet things but i heard green tea can increase metabolism, dunno if that will help but im gonna find out abit more about this.Good enough club member number 140 -
Just a quick message of good luck to Suewre in her job interview. I hope it goes well. Mine is at 10.30 this morning, nerves are kicking in now a bit!
Just remember, as my hubby said as he went out the door this morning. Take a deep breath, relax and be yourself.
Good luck, let me know how you got on later.Sorting my life out to give a better life to my:heartsmil 2 gorgeous boys :heartsmil0 -
No change for me this week. Bit disappointing as this is week 2 and the weight should be dropping off with so much to lose. Had 5 green days and 2 red . Had a few drinks on Friday night at the fundraising night, but I even gave up the chinese meal on Thursday night, wish I'd gone now!!!
Have to say, I'm thinking it is water retention so I'm hoping for a good loss next week."Stay Wonky":D

Thanks flis, mine isn't until 3.30, I am not sure if that will give me more time to prepare, or more time to panic! I am trying to rehearse answers to the stupid questions that some interviewers ask (When asked, "Why did you apply for this job" - "duh, cos I need the money", whilst being correct, isn't what they want to hear).
We have got into the habit of having a drink at the weekend, we didn't have one the weekend before last, and I lost weight, we also didn't have a drink at the weekend, although my food hasn't been that 'good' hopefully the lack of alcohol will have helped this week as well.
I went to M$S on Friday to try and get a new pair of trousers for my interview, but the size 22's were to small, and in the pathetically small amount of plus size clothing, I had the choice of 3 pairs of trousers, one grey pinstriped, one blue, and one black linen. None of which were what I wanted, so I went to Evans, and bought a pair of size 24 trousers, and a new shirt. Not moneysaving, but hopefully it will pay off. I am a bit upset the 22's didn't fit, I thought I was a 22, but I guess it is because the 22's I have are elasticated waist, not fitted with a zip, so there is the difference. Hopefully it will spur me on.
So, good luck to flis, and hope it goes well to everyone with weigh ins today.Quidco cashback paid out so far £745.89 :j0 -
Keren, did you count the syns that you drank at the fundraiser? Fingers crossed for a good loss next week.
Sue - i find m&s a hard place to shop too. Evans annoys me on the basis it tends to be quite expensive and the clothes aren't always a good quality. It'll be so much easier when we're as thin as racing snakes.
Good luck with the interviews ladies!0 -
Good Luck with the interviews guys.......knock 'em dead.
I know how you feel about buying clothes. I am a typical pear shape (very large pear - built for comfort, not for speed as they say  ).
I have no end of trouble buying trousers. If i find any that fit my bum/thighs then there is huge amounts of spare material around my middle. The few pairs i have found that fit ok are only available in regular length, and contrary to popular belief not all fat people are 2 foot tall!!!!!! :rotfl:
I bought a pair last week (got a wedding to go to this weekend), and like Suewre was gutted to find that only the size 24 would go past my knees!!!!! Hence the initial weigh in, and me being on here!
I also went the alcohol route this weekend when we had visitors. But I'm hoping to work from home quite a bit this week, so should have more control over my meals..............we shall see..........trying not to get on scales to see how bad the weekend was...........it'll only depress me..........What's he building in there???
Debt at highest £30,450 (Dec 05)
Debt at lowest £9, 113 (Jul 07)
How much did we over spend whilst on maternity leave :mad:0 -
Have to say, i didn't count, but it would have been a few!!!!
I also have problems with trousers. Boot cut ones in particular - won't go over my thighs, but I know they'd be fine on the waist! Go up a size and I have this horrible gaping thing around the waist!
I have one pair of jeans I bought from Evans at the end of last year. They are boot cut, but have a bit of stretch with them and don't look too bad with a very long top!"Stay Wonky":D

Good Luck to Flis and Suewre with the interviews.
A big welcome to SugaJen - Welcome to the board and good luck with the weight loss - you've done the right thing by setting yourself a target -aim to lose 1-2lb a week and you'll be on track. Good luck with whatever plan you decide to follow. You'll get plenty of support on here!
Keren - is Monday your normal weigh in day - or have you just weighed yourself to see if the weekend did any damage?! I stayed the same on my 2nd week and was disapppointed - the thing is to keep at it and don't let this put you off - aren't you glad you didn't have those cakes in work last week. The main thing is you didn't put any weight on - that shows that you can socialise and enjoy yourself without putting weight on! Good for you!
My weigh in is at SW tonight - think it might be a gain - I wasn't there last week and have "fallen off the wagon". I need to go back tonight to get that motivational kick up the backside :rotfl:
Good Luck this week to everyone - 4 weeks to my holiday and the challenge is on to see what i can lose in those last 4 weeks! Place your bets now, roll up roll up :rotfl:0 -
I must try to find a way to log on more often - so much time spent reading old posts
flis - hope you're interview went well.
Sue - good luck for yours.
Not had a bad week but I do seem to be a bit light-headed, not dizzy.....more away with the fairiesor preoccupied!
Still, as long as I'm not focusing on the wrong food, I can live with it!
Didn't try the lemon tart yet but had turkey stuffed with a couple of prunes, wrapped in bacon (delicious) then realised that I had to count the prunes as syns!! Never mind, it was worth it.
Good luck everyone for the days ahead0
